anyone try to get adrs for 8/7-9 recently?

i have a friend that is taking an impromptu trip to wdw for a few days and has no ADRs... i'm wondering if they'll have a hard time getting any at this late date... i know hotel reservations are hard to come by for those dates...

dinner at boatwrights for 8:00pm - some of the men decided to golf that day and would miss the adr the rest of us had. They had picked out three places and I could have had any of them within a 10 minute time frame of when they wanted them - all their choices were at resorts and not theme parks however - added that last week and added an 8:40 breakfast at Kona - for 4 of us (the four original friends who planned the trip - now the group has grown to 16 friends and family.

I think this all depends in where your friend wants to eat! We are going that week, and we have had a very difficult time getting some of the more popular restaurants. If you look at the August ADR trade thread, you will get an idea of which places are tougher to book.

I just made a ressie for 8/8 at WL Whispering Canyon Cafe for lunch & got to pick the time I wanted. Already had all my ADR's lined up, this one was added as an afterthought because we were originally just going to go with a CS. But I read somewhere else it's a fun place & since we've never taken the time to see the WL it will be something new to experience.

That said, I've been trying for a later fantasmic meal for weeks & nothing is available, so I guess I'll just be happy I have one the day I wanted at 4:40pm.
