If so, what are your thoughts on it? I'm thinking of picking it up this weekend.

I haven't heard of it but I am in an exercise rut. I checked out the reveiws on Amazon and they look pretty good.

I just went to Wal-mart at lunch and they were all out. Its under $10 there. I'm also debating ordering it from Amazon. I'm also looking at Jillian Michael's DVD. They both are so motivational and I'm looking for something to get me excited about exercising again. I know I just need to get moving and once I do it becomes addictive.

I'm excited to try them.

The Biggest Looser one looks cool because you can program different workouts. They aren't very long each but would be good when you don't have much time or you can build a longer workout to fit what you need to do. 2 cardio segments 20 minutes a piece, a weights segment also 20 minutes, a bootcamp segment also 20 minutes, and a stretch segment which is only 10 minutes. They would also be great to add on to a walk or run.

Ok I picked it up this morning and I love it so far. Of course, now even with the stretching I'm sore. Which tells me I have a long way to go! So far so good though. I can totally see myself doing this in the morning before work. It's nice to see real people doing those exercises and cardio instead of models!

Hi everyone,
So I picked this up this morning. I've not been exercising lately, but I used to do pretty well with the FIRM tapes (which are pretty difficult). I was really surprised at the intensity of these tapes. I actually think they are good for beginners and intermediates (maybe even advanced). I don't think the weight training is very hard, but I really liked the cardio sections & boot camp sections. I didn't try the weight section though so I might be in for a surprise- who knows!

I was really surprised at how high intensity the low intensity section was, lol! I was dying at the beginning after all the jumping jacks!!

I'm glad I bought it. It gives me something fun to work with while I build myself back up.

DH got this for me for Christmas but I haven't tried it yet...I've been walking on the treadmill every day and doing weights 3/week and haven't worked this in...the treadmill has my legs kind of stiff so I was waiting and then I plan on using the BL on those days too. I did look at it and I like the way it's set up...I think I'll do the stretching section, I forgot that you can break those up.

Man, I am really, really achy today!! WOW. I'm sore in places I swear there should be no muscles! I've only tried the lo impact cardio and the strength and toning. I'd hate to see what the boot camp and the high impact cardio bring!

:worship: Trainer Bob must be doing something right!

I ordered it & the book from Amazon, had a left over GC from last christmas. Have not got it yet. Do you need any thing extra with it? weights, bands, etc.

Kae

Well they use a mat and dumbbells from what I've seen so far. And you don't necessarily have to buy them if you don't want to. I already had 5 lb. weights at home so I've just been using them. I can see where a mat would come in handy though. That floor sure does get hard!

Thanks everyone for your reviews. I bought it Saturday morning but have not tried it yet. Maybe this afternoon.

I haven't heard of this before either- but now you all ahve me excited about going out nad finding it. Can you please tell me the SPECIFIC title of it?? THANKS!

The title is: The Biggest Loser Workout, Vol. 1

I got it last night and plan on doing it tomorrow.

I"m happy to report I'm sore today, lol! It was definately tougher than I expected. Maybe if I wouldn't of fell of the exercise bandwagon it wouldn't have been so bad.

I bought DVD yesterday and plan on trying it out today. So I will probably be sore tomorrow.

Edited to add: I just finished it and boy was it hard. The jumping jacks nearly did me in too. If that was the low intensity, I am afraid of the high intensity. I definitely feel like I got a good workout.

For those of you who bought it... where did you find it? I know it is on Amazon but I am impatient. I tried Target but it wasn't there :confused3

Any ideas where else to try?

I got mine at Wal Mart in the tv show section of movies.

I hope to try it tonight. I hate that it's been at my house for 4 days unopened. :)

Ohhhh  I didn't think to look in the TV show section... I just checked in the workout area. Thanks :flower:
