Just wondering if anyone has tried this or knows someone who has. I would like to hear what people think about it.

Thanks!

I tried it..it is an excellent program..if you stick with it for the rest of your life. I had lost about 30 pounds...we moved and I gained it all back.

It bugs me that the guy who writes the books also sells the drinks.

I don't know all the "ins and outs" of the program but a co-worker did it last year....She pretty quickly lost 40 lbs ! HOWEVER....since last fall she has gained much of it back....
Now that really can be said with anything you do I guess....like I said...don't know all the ins and outs...
BYw...she did do maintenence for a while too.

My sister is doing it and having success. To me the true test of any WOE change is to see how you feel about it at the six to eight week mark (kind of like how it is with a new relationship too!). She REALLY likes 'checking-in' several times a week....has found this to be a great aid in staying on track. I know at WW you can attend as many meetings a week as you want, but at LA you have one-on-one contact and actually go over your food diary (then they try to sell you more product  ) Sis only buys a weeks worth of snack bars and drinks at a time.

Hello, ibouncetoo's sister here - and wanted to post on the weight loss program. The problem people have with gaining weight back with any program is they ARE NOT dealing with their food issues. I was in therapy for over a year first, maybe that's why I am having such good luck. I am into week 5 now, and one thing I know, I CANNOT use food as a source of emotional eating anymore. I lost over 40 pounds on Atkins and gained it ALL plus more back, but that was because I NEVER dealt with portion control (huge wake up call folks!) and the fact if you want to be healthy you have to make changes and that means GIVING UP things. NOT FOREVER. But do you know any thin, healthy people who work out on a regular basis that DON'T watch what they eat? I dont. That's what I had to realize. If you want to be thin, healthy, you HAVE TO EAT LESS AND MOVE MORE. PERIOD. Sorry, no pill, or magic does that. So raise your glass, to making the right choices, MORE often than not, and on ocassion, eat cake, but don't eat cake everyday, with those chips or guess what? YOU WON"T BE HEALTHY OR THIN. Fit, is actually a better word, I'm not interested in being "thin" I don't have that type body, and that's a whole other discussion for another day! Body image vs self image... aren't we a complicated creature. Best of luck to you, no matter what plan you choose! I'll support you the best way I can if you choose LA Weight Loss! YIPEE FOR YOU!
