Anyone Try Chi Running?

My DVD and book just recently came in the mail. I started reading but it is going to take me a while now that the snow is starting to melt and I am back to work! I'm only on chapter 3! It may be spring before I get through it! LOL! I really want to go to a workshop.
 
Well I'm watching, reading, talking & practicing & today I did 10.5 and NO PAIN ! If I feel this good in the morning I'm hooked!!

marathonmommy - IIRC, Chapter 4 is the one that really gives you the technique and exercises. So, you may be closer than you think.
 
This is UNbelievable! 2 days post 10 miler & still no pain! I'm going to try another 10 tomorrow!

There are also some really good videos on Utube, but look for the ones by the author / creator of ChiRunning. There are some spoofs out there too....

I did another 10 mi. today after doing one on Monday & I still have no pain. I just can't believe it. And even BETTER, my abs are looking amazingly different--in a good way! LOL
 
Hi, I got the book on Chi Running and read it all. Looked on the internet to find all I could about it as well. Practiced before I ran. I usually run on the treadmill but went on a run outside on Sunday because of the nice weather. Best time on this run, felt pretty good trying to keep form and tilt forward. Got up on Monday and do I hurt, from my hips to my knees is so sore like the first time I never ran before. I was doing 3 miles on treadmill inside and only ran two miles outside. Do you think I did something wrong of was it just outside compared to all winter on the treadmill? Would love some feedback on this. I would love to run outside but the NY winter was not so good, I guess I have to get tougher and pile on layers.
 
Denise - It may just be becauses you are working new muscles. Those are key areas that work durign Chi Running. Keep going and see if it gets better, unless you have reall pain while running. Good luck!
