Anyone Tried Wii Disney DDR???

Hi,
DH and I saw the new Wii Disney Dance Dance Revolution. It looks like a ton of fun. It comes with two dance pads and the game which is comprised of Disney songs including the Tiki Room song!

Anybody tried it yet???

I haven't heard of this but it sounds like fun. How much is it? With the mats it's probably more than the standard $49.99.

We saw it for $69.99 at Best Buy. DH also checked out Target - which is closer to us - and they carry it, too. We checked out the reviews on Amazon and they seem pretty favorable, but we didn't end up buying it, YET! LOL. It does have an easy setting for little kids (and uncoordinated adults) and is rated E. We are still talking about it!

I asked for it for my birthday, and yeah, I didn't get it. But I think I'm going to go buy it. We need a new Wii game anyways.

OOOOH! They finally came out with the Disney DDR for the Wii! I've been holding out on getting DDR for this very reason!

I saw it in the Sunday ads a few weeks ago and announced to DH and two DS15s we should get that one. All I got was eye rolling and groans in return. So I'm guessing we won't be getting that one. Sounds fun to me!

Actually, I listened to the songs on the menu screen on a youtube video that DH found and I'm not sure if I liked the way the songs sounded. But maybe once you're dancing the songs don't sound too bad. We have the old one for Playstation 1 and I love that game!

How fun! My boys said it was probably full of Hanna Montana songs. I actually didn't look at the song list.

I have it It's a *ton* of fun. You have a few characters you can dance as and as you complete certain goals dancing, you'll unlock other costumes for the characters to wear and more songs and dancing stages.

I find using the nunchuk and the wiimote to hit certain hand motions difficult, but I solved that by getting a classic controller, attaching it to the wiimote as you do with a nunchuk and using the shoulder buttons on the classic controller instead (it'll make sense if you play it)

The songs are awesome. All techno dance remixes of disney songs. There are progressive levels of difficulty (go ahead! Try Turkey in the Straw on expert mode) and it's a ton of fun to play I highly recommend this game.

Woo, now I really want to try it!!!

Hmmmm wonder if using the regular controller instead of the nunchuck will work on the Wii Fit boxing......I swear it rarely registers my left punches even tho I'm throwing them! lol

Thanks for the tip on the classic controller...maybe I'm not as uncoordinated as the game made me feel.

My DD and I love DDDR !
although i get "DDR knee" after playing because I get caught up and stomp way harder than a 47 year old women should!
