I had dinner here this past Friday evening. Here are my thoughts on the evening. After arriving a little early (OK, make that a lot early. I had an ADR for Sat. night

) The Front Desk CM's were very pleasant and greeted me warmly. I was invited to relax in the Lounge area while my table was readied. My server recommended the
Agave Nectar Margarita - Partida blanco tequila, organic agave nectar and freshly squeezed lime juice. - $10.25 so that is what I ordered. No sooner had she stepped away than my buzzer went off that my table was ready! Wow, that was quick.
I was scanning the menu when my margarita arrived, along with my bar tab. (I only mention that because she checked on that several times during my dinner.) I thought I could pay for everything at the end of the meal, so that is what I did. Loved the staff! Loved the decor! Hated the margarita... Sorry folks. It tasted very salty and had an "off" flavor. I'm thinking too much lime juice. It was very overpowering, but potent in the alcohol content!
I decided on the
Grilled Marinated Flank Steak - Made with seasonal vegetables, Chimichurri, and guacamole. - $20.99 since the guacamole and chimichurri sounded interesting. As for the "seasonal vegetables" they were no more than thinly shredded carrots in a pile under the sliced steak. While the flavors were interesting, it was not a memorable dish. My server kept asking if I wanted to add a starch, but I declined since I was "saving myself" for dessert. Here I also want to add that the bread which was served was whole grain, but very soft with a dusting of flour on the top. The bread was served cold, but really should have been served warm. The butter pats had an interesting sprinkle of golden salt on the top. This had a very nice flavor.
I ordered the
Organic Colombian coffee $2.19,to go with my dessert:
Creamy Indulgence - Cheesecake with raspberry coulis, Coconut panna cotta with passion fruit drizzle, or Chocolate-passion fruit mousse with pecan-olive brittle. - $7.99 I will admit to being a coffee snob, I drink mine black and I adore a really good cup of coffee. This was not it. I will not drink the Nescafe that is served in most Disney locations either. I really like freshly ground coffee. Sorry folks...it wasn't my cup of tea!

But hold on for the good news... THE DESSERT ROCKS! Well worth the visit for the dessert alone.
My overall opinion is that this restaurant will eventually be a winner. It is just in the baby steps of opening, so I have to give them leeway for improvement.
SERVICE? A- (My table server was wonderful, my bar server was wonderful, except for the multiple trips to my table during my meal to see if I was ready to settle my tab.)
DECOR? A+ I thought it was decorated and themed beautifully.
FOOD? C-
Non-alcoholic BEVS? (RE: Coffee) D
ALCOHOLIC BEVS? C- The drink was not good, it was full to the rim with ice, and it was a smallish drink for the price.
DESSERT? A A real stand-out!
I will post this and come back and insert pictures shortly. Hope this helps some with their planning.
