Hi!

Thinking of booking flight with BA. Any comment good or bad!

Thanks

Good :)

I book with whoever is cheapest / most convenient for the trip in hand but, all things being equal, I'd probably choose BA.

I've travelled to and from the US several times with BA and never had any problems. Food and service have always been great, punctuality is good and never had problems with lost or damaged bags.

I'm another one who in the past would have picked BA if prices were the same. Currently finding Virgin airmiles mean prices are not the same for me. If going economy or premium economy not a lot to choose between them (except the Virgin PE is often upstairs which is a bit more private).

We flew with BA the year they were doing free local connections & all things being equal I would choose them ahead of VA.We came close this year but the deal we got with Jetsave ,with VA flights, was just too good also BA weren't doing the hotel we wanted.
SD :thumbsup2

We flew BA on what I believe was a Boeing 777 r/t Chicago to London. I wouldn't do another transatlantic flight with BA on that particular plane--very cramped, little leg room--made me claustrophobic. The service was excellent, however. :sunny:

Having had a really rubbish flight with BA to Vancouver last year, I vowed never to use them again......absolutely dreadful ! (First and last trip with them).

We use Virgin quite regularly and I dont think they can be beaten for customer care.

I have flown transatlantic over two dozen times and I would have to say BA are one of the best (have flown with them the most). I can't fault them for anything.

We flew with them last year to Orlando and are flying with them again this year. They do such good deals, how can we not?! £310 each with tax this year and could have gone in December for £200 each (thanks to helpful link found on this board!)

I think Virgin are ok but that little incident last week with the whole Cuban flight and being stuck on the plane for over 7 hours...now that would make me crazy and super claustrophobic! I know something like that is rare but I hate the idea that they wouldnt' let those folks off the plane.

I might fly Virgin one day but they'll have to at least match if not better BA on flights and so far they haven't ever done so.

Good luck with whichever one you choose!

I used to work for BA and still feel loyal towards them  I still think they are one of the best airlines to fly with. We are however travelling with Virgin for our next trip, mainly because we can fly direct from Manchester, but also because we got such a great price with them :thumbsup2 I always check prices with BA first though :goodvibes

BA are very good, no problem at all, I did miss the downtown check in though that you get with Virgin in Orlando. The seats are much more comfortable than with Virgin and seem to have more leg room. Good choice I say. :cool1:

I found economy the same as every other British airline - i.e. not great, slow service, poor legroom. US Carriers are much better IMHO.

Then again, I was luckily enought to get upgraded to Business Class once for free (used to fly with BA loads with work so had a Silver card). That is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC but a bit expensive if its your own money !!!!

just thought i'd let you know we booked with BA for Jan 07 went with them this Jan 06, had no problems. Just phoned up today to see how much my holiday would have been if we'd have held off booking for another month - its actully gone down £167!!! :sad2: They have a sale on at the moment to try and encourage people to book after the whole terrorist threat... Ring them up - you might nab a bargin!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

We flew with BA last month and found them to be excellent. Absolutely no problems at all even with all the terrorist issues (we flew on 2 days after it all). I'll be flying with them again soon!

Really enjoyed my flights with BA last month, very attentive and helpful and worked out the same price as Virgin. I have flown with both and would pick BA over Virgin if price was the same again. Good legroom and entertainment too,

I never get the theory that a 747 is more spacious for an airline than for example a 777. Both have 17.5in width seats and 31in pitch for BA. The plane is admittedly wider but the aisles are surely the same width so the extra space is taken by a row of seats... :confused3

I have flown with them twice. The first time was better, but it seems that all the airlines have slipped in standards over the years. You definitely won't regret flying with BA - they are certainly one of the better airlines I've flown with. Virgin is definitely may favourite though.

Thinking of booking with BA for early July 2007 so keeping a close eye on this thread. :sunny:

Hi Mikey1
BA had a sales on for floriday holidays, if you havent booked then gie them a call and see if you can get it a little cheaper... :cheer2:

Some good prices with B.A, but I think ( not 100% sure) Virgin announce their flight reductions this month.
Shall wait another week or so, whilst at the same time hope BA keep their prices low. :sunny:
