Booking 2027 cruise while expecting

Hi! I just recently found out I’m expecting and due in May 2026. I’m trying to book one of the early 2027 cruises but I can’t figure out what to do for our child that isn’t born yet. We don’t know name, gender or birthdate. Do I just make something up? Will Disney allow you to make changes to all of these things down the road? Thanks so much for your help!

Congrats! I believe you book the infant as "TBD Lastname" using the due date as birth date. You can then update the info after the birth.

Most cruises allow infants at least 6 months old. However some (TA, PC, Hawaii and South Pacific) require the baby to be at least 12 months old to cruise.

Congratulations! You can book as “Baby ___” and add details later, up to the final payment date. I am not sure if that can be done online, but if not, you can book the rest of the guests and then call DCL to add the baby. The reps should know what to do, as this is a relatively common issue for Disney cruises.

You're allowed to change a guest up until final payment (unless you're booked in Concierge or with a restricted rate). The worst case scenario is that you need to pay the current rate for a new guest, but for a baby, that rate is low anyhow.

I would call the cruise line and ask them what their requirement is to be able to book the cruise.

congrats! i called and used my daughters due date as her birth date and a possible name but after she was born we were able to change her name and birth date with no problem
