Anyone there recently? Staybridge/Summerfield Suites

We just booked Staybridge Suites near the Convention Center for a combination Disney and Convention trip.

This place used to be called Summerfield Suites I believe (and misspelled Sommerfield I think).

Some of the reviews on tripadvisor aren't great but we decided to go with this place anyway since the location is good and the size is fantastic.

Anyone stay there recently??????

We were there Nov. 2003 right after the changeover of names. We got a great rate of $99 a night for 2 bed, 2 bath suite. bottom room near the pool, near the parking. There's no elevator. The cont. breakfast was included but it was lousy. They were always out of coffee, dirty tables, no fresh fruit.... but the rate was great and the room and sitting area was great! One day my dd was ill, I left her sleeping in one bedroom (2 queen or 2 dble beds, not sure with a full bath) my dh sleeping in the other bedroom (1 full bath) and the other dd went to the pool and did laundry (right near the pool). It was nice. The space is amazing and the ease of the facility is nice. Easy to get to DTD. Pool was never crowded--bring towels from room, i think.

Since then we have been to Sheraton Vistana Resort right down the street a mile. We liked that even better, good location, newer building, ease to MK, quiet. We paid $140 and I think we would do that again over Summerfield/Staybridge. But we did have a good experience and did not regret our decision. Good luck and have a blast! I think we'll stick with Staybridge since we're there for a convention.
