If so, are or we're you sick with the stomach bug?

We know four separate families who just returned all with kids who got it while there or within a week of returning.

We are going in 3 weeks and I am so scared now.

Please tell me this is just a coincidence!?!?

I live about 20 minutes from the Parks and my wife works on property, there is nothing unusual going around right now that I am aware of. We have 6 & 8 year old DS and both seem fine. There is always something around and kids tend to pick things up when they fly and go to new areas but I am not aware of any bug going around here specifically.

I live here. I go all the time - went Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week. Stepped foot in all four parks. Not even so much as a sniffle. Maybe they caught it before they left? Or maybe it was the airport?

We were there the weekends of 12/2-12/4 and 12/9-12/11 and have not had any issues.

Got back last Friday...all is fine. I would say it is a coincidence. Bugs like that are everywhere. No need to panic.

There is no more likelihood of someone catching something or a virus being confined to WDW than any other place on the planet. Grocery Stores, Department Stores, Malls...anyplace where large numbers of people gather.

We're here now. No stomach bugs here, but DD back home had it earlier in the week. Tis that time of the year.

Just got back yesterday from 5 day trip. Neither dh and I were ill. And honestly, it was the first time EVER that someone DIDN'T get ill! I did not notice a lot of people sick either.

If there is something going around, we didn't see it. However, thats not to say someone isn't. You are with 20,000 of your closest friends, its always possible someone is waiting to pass a present along!

How long were their trips?

Perhaps they were infected just before the trip, and hitting the parks every day depleted their physical reserves, making them just vulnerable enough to succumb when they returned...?

I returned a few days ago. Nothing out of the ordinary to my knowledge.

We were there last week too. On the way home I started with cold like symptoms. The next day I lost my voice. I ended up going to the doctor and had bronchitis. But really this is a bad time of year for sickness anywhere you go, not just WDW.

No stomach bug, but we came back late Tuesday night and my daughter now has hand, foot and mouth disease.... Really common childhood illness, but I'd bet just about anything that she picked it up at Disney.

Were there 12/8- 12/14 and were just fine. There are stomach viruses and colds going around at schools from NJ to Texas (the ones I have relatives at, at least!) nothing unusual about it, this time of year.

We were at Disney from 12/3 through yesterday (12/16). Other than one little girl vomiting outside of Mission: Space, I didn't see anyone with stomach bug symptoms. I developed a cold on the 7th and still have it. Both my boys came down with high fevers this past Tuesday. Took them both to the urgent care on Thursday (becasue of a long auto train ride home the next day) and both had ear infections. The NP that saw the boys said Strep was going around the parks, but my boys tested negative.

Thanks for the replies. Hoping it is a coincidence and we will be healthy. My 2 yo actually started vomiting last night likely a bug from daycare. Yuck, hate this time of year with illness!
