Anyone There Early February ... How Was the Weather?

We're planning to go around the first week of February next year, and wonder how the weather might be. If you were ever there in early February, was it cold, rainy?

I've gone the beginning of February back in 2003. It was rather cool - 60's to low 70's in daytime, 40's at night. If you dress for it, it's not bad. Much better than the high heat/humidity of summer, IMO. We had a day of rain, but it wasn't non-stop. The pools are heated enough so even I managed to get a swim in and a few slides down the pool at BWV. Of course, I'm a native New Englander so there was no way I was coming back home without taking a swim in February!

I also went this year Feb 4-11th and all I can say is I will go back that time of the year in a heartbeat!
Yes, there was times when it was downright chilly but to me that is the best conditions to tour in..
Hated my June / July trip last year cuz it felt like I was melting and was just to hot to stand in lines.. If I'm gonna spend all that money the least that can happen is that I actually enjoy it!
Granted June July was O.K.(any day at Disney is right) but I am not a hot weather person it tends to be chilly up here in Mass so the 50's and 60's was downright perfect for me!

We were there Feb 1-10.
Weather was great....a bit chilly in the mornings. Nice days....cool evenings. Sweatshirts for us then only.
I preferred being a bit cold in the mornings to carry around my sweatshirt all day.

I was there Feb 10 - 14, 2006 ... it was FREEZING ... we needed way more than sweatshirts as evening approached!! Way too cold for the girls to swim. Of course it was about 80 degrees when we left on the 14th ... :furious:

Thanks everyone ... sounds like February will be a mixed bag. Just gonna cross my fingers and hope for the best!

We've been 3 times at that time of year. We love it, but you want to be prepared for anything weather-wise. I can remember frost warnings on some evenings (they seem rather shocked about it on the TV weather, so it must be pretty unusual). And in the mornings and evenings, my DD would need mittens, coat, etc. Sometimes a jacket all day. Some days it's been 80 degrees. There have been a few rainy days, but not the daily afternoon downpours that I hear can occur in summer. I can think of only one day where rain was a problem. It started misting which wasn't bad, but then it poured...and poured. It got pretty uncomfortable, because it was very chilly.
We went back to the room, changed into dry clothes, and by afternoon, the rain had stopped.
It's our favorite time to go. We have never done any swimming. The pools are heated nicely, but I always worry about the walk back to the room in the chilly air.

February is usually our favorite time to go. But weather-wise you really have to be prepared for everything. Usually daytime weather is mid 70's. However we have had days when we woke up and it was in the 20's (of course the day we had to be at the princess breakfast at like 7:30 in the morning) and days when it hit 85 during the day. If you bring a pair of shorts just in case, and bring or be willing to buy a polar fleece at WDW you should be fine for anything.

We went Jan 29-Feb 2, 2005 and the weather was perfect. It was about 70 during the day and cooler at night. We wore long sleeves or light jackets. It did not rain and was even partly cloudy. We had a blast. Standing in line was no problem.

Unfortunately, we moved and our new school district has a break in November. I hope the weather cooperates for us this time!

It really is a mixed bag -- even a few days difference can swing the temperature by like 30 degrees. We were there in February 2006 -- about the same time as Jackie and it was FREEZING. My Sister had to buy winter coats for her DD1 and DS2. No swimming during that part of the vacation. By the end of our trip, we were back to the 80s.

In past Februaries, we've had really nice weather.
