Just curious to anyone who has an escape wedding and are taking their cakes to a Disney restaurant....
Which Disney restaurant are you taking it to and are they charging you a serving fee or are they not letting you bring one in at all? :santa:

We brought ours to Ohanas and they didn't question it or charge us a fee.

i might not be much help since my wedding was in 1997, but we had NO problems having our cake sent to Yachtmans Steakhouse for our dinner!!

Doesnt hurt to ask your planner or even call your restaurant directly.

GL!!!

Here are the popular wedding restaurants that say they have cake-cutting fees (usually around $2.50 per person):

California Grill
Jiko
Fulton's
Portobello Yacht Club

We went to Portobello's and were told by the Portobello sales person that we'd be charged the $2.50 fee per person, even though the cake would already be cut and even though not everyone would eat the cake. I was irritated, but no amount of arguing would get her to charge her mind.

However...! When we got there, everyone was super nice, excited that we had just gotten married, and we got charged no fee. Hooray! Of course, we did leave at least half of the bottom layer for the cook staff to enjoy, so that may have had something to do with it (or, the sales lady forgot to inform the manager on duty; I'm not sure which).

Thanks I am checking now to see if we even can. If not, I hope the guests have time to eat it at the ceremony. :surfweb:
