Anyone take the Amtrak auto train from Virginia to Florida?

I just found out that there is an auto train that goes from Lorton, Virginia to Santon, Florida. The cost is about $300 for each vehicle plus about $93 round trip per person with AAA discount. The train leaves at 4pm and arrives at 9:29 the next morrning. I already have my airfare booked for this upcoming trip but I might consider the train for a future trip. Anyone do this and was it a good experience?
