We did until about an hour ago. It was not fun taking the ornaments and lights off. My fil was helping and I'm pretty sure he didn't like the tree. He was ripping off the branches as he helped take off the lights. It started out as a very dead full tree and ended up looking like charlie browns. I got the honor of getting all the rest up off the carpet. yeehaw. :)

Anyway, anyone else just take theirs down recently?

We took ours down January 5th.

:wave2: Still up, probably down this week. We usually put up late, take down late.

Ours is still up  I hate to take it down, the kitty is used to being up in it! It's an artificial with not many ornaments on it.

Ours is up. We were in WDW just after Christmas and don't
feel like we got enuf of it. Probably will take ornaments off
tomorrow. sad

I don't feel so strange now. :)

Just the naked tree with lights. I'm waiting for DS and DH to help take it down and they aren't motivated.

I'll be starting to take mine down tomorrow. I put it up right after Thanksgiving and I still hate to take it down. The room always looks so EMPTY when it's put away.

:hyper: Just boxed up the tree a few hours ago. :hyper:

Ours is still up. I did unplug it though.:p I just have to take the breakable ornaments off then we will put a couple sheets around it and carry it downstairs.::yes:: THis way the lights and some ornaments are already on it for the next year.:jumping1:

Yes we still have it up too. I want to keep it up as long as possible. We put it up late and its 2 of the ds birthday so it just adds to the atmosphere. Still have the outside decorations up too, not lights, just decorations, just been too cold and snowy to take them down.

Our big tree, in front of the picture window in the living room is slowly coming down, but the small tree, that fits perfectly in the corner of the family room just got re-worked into a Valentines Day Tree.

DW Patricia just finished decorating it with red bows and balls and about 2 dozen Valentine realted images she found (probably clipart), printed, cut out and now hung.

It looks so nice! She's the best!

Judging from the time of your post, Serena, I took mine down at exactly the same time you did! :p

I think I will start to take mine down today. It just takes so long to do and I have so many other things I would rather do. I'm sure my decision to take it down could change quickly!!

Top 1/2 is in the trash and bottom 1/2 is still in the sunroom. I'm buying a new tree next year.

I never thought I would see this post here or anywhere. About the time you think you have read them all, check out the Dis.

We do still have ours up. I bought a real one this year. We also get ours up late. I thought of taking at least the decorations off this week. Then I will see how long it takes someone to carry it outside. Likely it will be there until next year unless I do it.
