Has anyone stayed there? I think it was the Crowne Plaza previously and not to be confused with the Monumental Movieland Hotel.

This is the hotel on Tripadvisor

We're thinking about it for our stay in May, it works out a little more than we wanted to spend but I kinda thought sod it, I'll stick it on the CC, I dont wanna stay in a dump as we will be spanding more time in the hotel this time (no money to afford buying more tickets that the ones we already have).

Thank you so much wayneg, I am looking for room only - flights booked monday :) The cheapest I have found is on expedia through travel supermarket and i think its £32 per night for 15 nights :)

Is it just 2 of you? Its a King room at that price for 2 people, a double room would be another £3/nt+tax.

Hotels.com was where I saw it slightly cheaper using Quidco to get 10% cashback. They also do a 1 in 10 night reward scheme you can join which would give you a reward of £26 but don't know how it works, have a read.

After Quidco that would be £438 for a King room or £29/nt. but what put me off this property was the extras, $6.75/nt resort fee(some say $8 so that might be incl tax) and just seen on hotels.com Self parking: US$ 8 per night
Personally I have never been charged a local resort fee when using a UK booking agent, the price has been inclusive but it does say its payable so something you should expect, bonus if they don't charge.

I was aware of the resort fee, I am happy to pay it though as long as i know before hand! Wpuld hate to turn up somewhere and not know and have it sprung on us. I havent got quidco, is it something i should really get? Also says on the hotel's website that parking is free or is covered under the resort fee, or words to that effect.

100% you should register with Quidco (or another cashback site, I also use TopCashback) Whatever you buy on the net go via a cashback site for money back. I have just had another £95 paid into my bank this week, over past few years I have now had £2,830 back. You don't even have to spend to get cashback, I recently did a search for van insurance, got £1.51 for it.

Looks a great rate for the hotel even with the resort fee.

I have registered now :) thank you so much for all of your help, I really appreciate it!

now onto car hire......

another vote for quidco.. it's money for nothing and we have never had any problems with buying via it.
