Anyone stayed in 1BR Suite at AKL?

Has anyone out there stayed in a 1 BR suite at the AKL? Where are the rooms located? How is the view? What is included in these rooms? Anyone have a diagram/pictures? I've checked some of the websites and they only have pictures of the 2BR and larger suites. Are suites discounted?

I'm interested to find out if they have 1, 1 1/2 or 2 bathrooms. I have not been able to find out any info anywhere about that. (Also was not able to get through to CRO last night to ask!)

I stayed in a two-bedroom suite last Easter, and a one-bedroom suite over the holidays. I love the AKL and its rooms.

In almost all of the WDW suites and villas that I have stayed in (and the AKL is no exception), the master bedroom has a huge bathroom, the second bedroom has a standard full-size bathroom, and the parlor room has a half-bath.

I don't have all of my AKL two-bedroom suite photos loaded yet, but I will try to do so within the next few days. I do have enough of the one-bedroom suite photos loaded, however.

Sharoncity, I have posted some more photos into my on-line AKL suite albums. I don't have all of them posted yet, but I did post at least one photo of the parlor room's half-bathroom. Here's the link to it:

I would like to note that all of the bathrooms in the suite had telephones. You can see the reflection of the half-bath's phone in the mirror in the photo. The phone comes in handy if you run out of toilet paper and need to call Housekeeping.

Thank you Janet2k! You're pictures are wonderful! Of course the only way I'll ever get to the inside of the 2 bedroom suite is on a tour! But the pictures are great. The 1 bedroom would probably work just fine for us since it has 1 1/2 baths. There will be 5 of us all together. That could be a tough line in the AM with only 1 bathroom. LOL! Unfortunately, I doubt we could swing the price of a 1 bedroom either. We will probably end up with 2 savannah view rooms.

Sharoncity, two savannah view rooms will be fine. Just make sure that you request them side-by-side (as in connecting). Disney will probably tell you that they can't guarantee that you will get them side-by-side, but they usually try their best to accommodate a request like that.

Janet - I enjoyed seeing your AKL pictures and booked the 1BR suite for 5/15/-5/19. Now if I can just talk my husband into it, we'll be going. Requested Zebra trail, 3rd floor. Is that where your room was? How long of a walk is it to the concierge lounge? Was told suites are not discounted and rate was $695/night plus tax. Does this sound accurate? Thanks!

Whalewatcher, I hope you enjoy the AKL. My two-bedroom suite was on Zebra Trail (5th floor), but my one-bedroom suite was on Kudo Trail (3rd floor). The walk to the concierge lounge wasn’t too long. I walked to the lobby and then took the elevator up to the 6th floor. Maybe five minutes tops. And as you were told, suites are never discounted. The rate that they quoted you sounds about right.
