Anyone stayed at the Westin On Hilton Head Island?

We are going to Hilton Head for the first time in July. I have booked the Westin since we are not staying a full week to utilize a condo or villa. Has anyone stayed there? Hoping to go back to Disney in 2005!

I've never been to Hilton Head at all. I'll bump this back to the top of the list for you, though

I have not stayed there, but stayed nearby and looked around the property. It looked really nice.

Do you know the Disney condos are available on a per night basis, often cheaper than the hotels?

The Westin is very nice though. We haven't stayed there but have played golf at the Port Royal courses which surround the hotel. It is quite central in location and is right on the beach.

I ate there and saw the place and decided that if I ever go back this would be the place I would stay. It looked terrific. We ate a buffet there and man what a spread.

The Westin is by far the nicest hotel on Hilton Head Island. It has a beautiful oceanfront location. The outdoor pool is lovely and they are one of only two hotels on the island with an indoor pool.
(The Marriott is the other.) The restaurants are excellent with the Barony Grill being the only AAA 4 Diamond restaurant on HHI. The buffet at Carolina Cafe is excellent. In season, they have a child care program which is certainly nice if you'd like to take advantage of those good restaurants! (From your user ID, I assume you have at least one little one!) They also have a kid's playground. Bike rentals are available on site. The hotel is centrally located on Port Royal Plantation; convenient to most everything on the island. I'm sure you'll be very pleased with it.

Be sure to have some she-crab soup at the Carolina Cafe; IMHO it's the best on the island.
