Anyone stayed at the Comfort Suites Maingate East?

Never stayed there myself. Have you checked on www.tripadvisor.com

You do get some conflicting opinions, even on the nicer hotels, but I find that if you go by the Brit reviews, they tend to be fairly accurate.

Thanks Wilma - I spent a few hours there yesterday looking at various hotels and like you say some rave while others tear the same place to pieces. Just thought my fellow Disers might have some believable feedback.

I found a good deal on it so it's on the shortlist anyway

Clare, we've booked to stay here in March 2007. I checked the reviews on TripAdvisor and on this board there are http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=792950&highlight=Comfort+suites+maingate+east and http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=903526&highlight=Comfort+suites+maingate+east It is also quite frequently mentioned on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions Board.
Like any hotel you get good and bad reviews, but on the whole they are favourable. I think the biggest gripes seem to be it is very busy at breakfast and the lifts are very slow.

Paula, just use the link Joh gave, then type in the name of the hotel in the Search for box. AFAIK there isn't a section for Brits, but most people who have written a review tend to put in their town and country so you can work out who is British or not from that.

I have my shortlist down to two now - this one and the Radisson Worldgate (we've stayed there before and loved it but slightly more expensive)
