We stayed at the Radisson last time, but wow, their rates have gone up! It's $139 for park and cruise. On the other hand, the Quality Suites have an "Aloha" rate for $99 which includes parking at the Radisson, plus the use of the Radisson shuttle, plus breakfast and 2 hawaiian shirts. The guy at the Quality Suites was soooo nice when I called, and the guy at the Radisson was snippy, too. Last time we just paid for the room and parked there, but I understand they are giving you some kind of voucher for your window now?

I can get the Radisson for $109 if I don't have to get the park and cruise package. Anyone know if you can do that? If not I guess it's Quality Suites. We usually get there late at night and leave early in the a.m. anyway, so I guess it's not a big deal either way. The Radisson is just so convenient.

we have the park and cuise rate at the best western for $79.00. you can leave your car there for the duration of the cruise with a one night booking.

You do not have to purchase the park and cruise package in order to use the cruise parking at the Radisson.

Does the Quality Inn now have a place to park? Several years ago they use the Rad's parking and shuttle.

Dave's site dcltribute.com has different descriptions of hotels near the port...You may find some comments there..I have not stayed there personally.. :goodvibes

The Radisson and Quality Suites is owned by the same person and now that same person is building a Hotel, which BTW, is BEAUTIFUL, right next door to Ron Jon's in Cocoa Beach - looks like they are only weeks away from being ready - all the signs are up including Starbuck etc - what the rates are
don't know that yet - also they have indoor parking -
Will post when all the hotels and motels that they are building around here opens with the 800 number OK?
Blessings always
Shirley

Shirley, what would we do without you and all your help? :goodvibes I would love to know the name of the place when you know it so I can check into that. It would be pretty fun to stay in a brand new hotel!

Shirley, please keep us updated.
We stayed at the Quality Suites in January. It was very convenient. We walked to the beach, Taco Bell and a tourist shop (DD needed a bathing suit and they aren't very easy to find in the mountains in the winter). The room was just OK. It looked like someone had a party there, stains on the carpet and couch. However, I would stay there again if the rates were right.

Hi. We stayed at the Quality Suites last year before our Carnival Glory cruise. It is a sister hotel to the Radisson, so you park there and take the shuttle over. Rooms were very nice. It didn't have a lot of curb appeal, but inside was fine. No pool, but we didn't have time to use it anyway. There was an expanded continental breakfast buffet that was pretty good. The only down side is you cannot book your shuttle ressie until you arrive, which means you will be on one of the later shuttles (like 2 p.m.). We just decided to park at the port. Hindsight being 20/20, we would probably just park at the Radisson and take a cab, as that would be less than $20 and get us there in 15 minutes or less. We currently have a ressie at the Radisson, but maybe I will have to check out Quality Suites to see what the rates are. Might be worth it for us to stay there and then cab it. Hope this helps.

Any chance of it being ready for occupancy for the 1st week of November?
Does the hotel also have the Radisson name?

Shirley -

Thanks so much for keeping us up to date on the happenings in Cocoa Beach! Looking forward to your post on the new hotel when it opens.

Believe it or not - its a Mariott 4 point hotel but the name is Cocoa Beach Surf Shop - yeap that's the name so far = they have a gift shop that resembles Ron Jon's - they are BIG competiors for RJ --even used the same outside building colors as RJ's - its hard to see where one starts and the other ends - Long story there and a very interesting one. Anyhow as soon as it opens or announces it's going to open, I will post all the information - also wanted to add we now have several cute clothes shops here - WOW are we getting up in the world - one is called Island Sensation which is about 2 blocks North of my shop and the 2nd one is at the new Publix shopping center - we have a new nail shop (really like their work) also located at Publix which is called Diva Nails - as I said as stuff opens, will let you know.
Hugssssssss and stay safe and have a great week everybody.
Blessings always
Shirley and Norm
