anyone stayed at Hampton Lakes??

Been looking at staying here for Christmas this year ...just wondering whats its like there, drivability to the parks, shopping, golf courses etc..
I'm getting a bit bombarded with all the different areas to stay in and i can't seem to choose where to stay
Please help me!!

We stayed in Hampton Lakes in 2001. It is a new development (well it was in 2001) - and we really liked it. You probably already know - it is situated on the US 27 about a mile or so south of the junction with the 192.

We have stayed at various places along the US 27 over the past few years and we really like the location. It is easy to get to Disney - either along the 192 or go a little south and pick up the I4. There is a supermarket - Winn Dixie - just as you leave the 192 and if you go about 10 miles south there is also a Wal Mart at Haynes City (sp) - which is sometimes quicker than getting through the traffic to go to the one on the 192.

As long as you have a car - this is a very nice area (IMHO)
