Anyone stayed at Coronado Springs?

Last week my fiance and I booked our honeymoon for WDW. We are staying at the Coronado Springs Resort. Has anyone stayed there? What was your experience?

We spent 2 nights at Coronado Springs in February. We really loved it! We are DVC members, so we are used to the deluxe resorts. We both thought that Coronado was so nice, though! One thing...unless you want to sleep in a very small bed, request a king-sized bed. Then again, the small bed does make for a romantic trip

The grounds at Coronado are so lovely! I really liked the pretty lake in the middle of the resort. The pool is really cool too. Last week, my DH asked me what resort I'd spend the night at if I could choose any resort...I said Coronado, and he said that that's what he was thinking too! I think that you made a good honeymoon choice

Mario, thanks for posting your website. I wanted to try staying at CSR for this trip coming up, but some members of my party were "put-off" by the convention aspect of it. maybe next time.

I stayed at the CSR in 2002 and I loved it. I thought it provided a very romantic setting, especially at night when I came back from the parks. The resort is beautiful and if you have the time and you're not too tired, take a walk at night around the resort.

I stayed in the Ranchos section and thought it was the best section of the three. The theming throughout the resort is awesome, especially the Dig Site, the resorts main pool area.

My only negative view of the resort was the Pepper Market. I don't like the system, especially when I was charged for gratuity when no one got my drinks like they were supposed to do...I had it waived, although the cashier did give me a hard time. Fortunately, I ate only a few meals there.

I would definitely stay there again, but only after I get to stay at the other resorts I haven't stayed at yet.

I just got back a week ago. We loved it. The grounds are so beautiful! We stayed in the Casitas - they are just lovely with gardens & fountains, but a good walk to the main pool in the afternoon heat. For your honeymoon, I would also recommend that you get the King Size bed. DH & I have to sleep in separate beds (we just can't both sleep in a double), and we get a separate room for the kids. The laudry rooms are ample, the grounds are beautiful, the buses are good & the staff was wonderful. Hope you have a wonderful time!

I really like CSR--I'll be staying there in January. The things to keep in mind is that the themeing is pretty desert-like. It's really cool and I like the themeing a lot, but some people have said they think it lacks 'magic.' The other thing is that you will do a lot of walking at this resort. If those two things appeal to you, then go for it! It's beautiful, I think.

We just stayed at CSR for the first time over this past Memorial Day weekend. It is a very pretty resort and the CMs were very nice. As I am sure you are aware this is a very large moderate resort so you have four bus stops within the resort itself your room door opens onto a walkway. There are also double beds. As long as you know this going in and are okay with all of the above I am sure you will have a great time. Very beautiful resort and we liked the Pepper Market compared to the regular food courts at the other moderates.
