anyone stay in niue since the hurricane?

Trip is coming up, we asked for Niue b/c it's our favorite longhouse. close to the pool and GCH...has anyone been there since the hurricanes? any damage? should i change my requests to say maybe samoa? any info is appreciated!

Hi, we stayed in Niue right after the hurricanes. The only damage was to some young Palm Trees, other than that it was great! This is our favorite longhouse also! Last year we were on the quiet pool side and this year on the GCH side. I literally just rolled out of bed and was at Captain Cooks! BTW, DH and myself do not smoke but we love Niue (a smoking longhouse) and never had an issue with a smell. Have a great trip!
