It is on Dave's list of noisy rooms and he claims it is because they are near certain areas. I noticed a huge grey area next to my room!! Great. I am a light sleeper and very worried about this room. Anybody with any information on what this grey area might be or why this is a noisy room, please talk! :confused3

"First of all, let me state that, for the majority of the rooms, Deck 2 is very quiet and you should have no problem staying there. But there are some zones where staterooms are near loud mechanical equipment (electrical lockers, transformer rooms, a/c equipment rooms, ship's propellers, cargo hatches, etc.).

So with the disclaimer that "your mileage may vary" and that you may be willing to put up with the "dull roar" in exchange for a good fare, these are the rooms that are in noisy zones:

Port Starboard
2000 - 2004

2032

2036 - 2047

2078 - 2085

2094 - 2096

2114 - 2129

2139 - 2153
2500 - 2520

2534 - 2547

2586 - 2600

2626

2630 - 2653

Also, on Deck 1, you might want to avoid...

Port
1030 - 1037

1062 - 1064 "

Last week we had 2114 on the Magic, also listed as a noisy room. I freaked out when I saw that but there was no availability to change rooms. Turns out it was a great room, there was an occasional noise at night so I started wearing ear plugs and then never heard a thing again. My husband said there was some vibration/minor noise when coming into port, but with the ear plugs I never heard it, just woke up and we were docked. Let me add that I am a light sleeper as are my kids, and my kids never had any problems at all without ear plugs.

On the map I have, it looks like your stateroom is across the hall from other staterooms, unless I am misunderstanding something.

We stayed in this room on our 4 night Wonder cruise 2 years ago and had no problems at all with noise. I liked being on deck 2. Our Travel Agent suggested the location of this room to minimize any possible problems with motion sickness. We are staying in the same room number on our April 23 Magic crusie!
