we can get next night free up to 5 nights free when we are planning to be in disney - I see from posts that it is dated but has had some rennovations done to it. Is is worth staying there? I can save some money by staying there but I don't want to if it is unbearable since we will be there 10 nights. We were going to stay at westgate but I decided from reading alot of the posts to cancel our plans due to the high pressure sales. I just want to relax and have fun and have the bed made for me everyday (haha.) The last time we were in Orlando we stayed at Quality suites and it was just fine. this was four years ago. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I just got back last night from the Sunspree. We were there for 7 nights. It was perfect for our needs. It was clean. The housekeeping was great. The pool was well heated according to the kids in the area. They were in there even in the 40 and 50 degree nights. The frig, micro and coffee maker saved money for breakfasts and made leftovers an option. Let me know if you have anymore specific questions. Oh yeah TV and VCR's in each room. We didn't have time but it was a nice option if we needed it.:jester: :jester: :jester:

We were there from 12/18 to 12/29. The rooms were OK. Housekeepng wasn't that great. Luckily we spent little time inthe rooms, basically only for sleeping. We did use the frig to hold stuff for breakfast as well as drinks. Just buying our own water and juices for the kids saved us a fortune!! Even used the microwave to make popcorn when we went back to the parks in the evening for parades and fireworks.

We also used the 'next night free' coupon. with that, it was a good value. We only used the coupon for breakfast buffet once. Though it still cost $16 for the 4 of us. We could have eaten as much at a IHOP or even buying stuff from the store.

Any other ??, just post them here.

I'm still confused. We (DH, DD6, DS4) are due to stay here for 2 weeks in Feb. and I've read so many different reviews, I just don't know what to think! Even the two above are different - 'housekeeping was great' / 'housekeeping was o.k.'. I'm going on a package deal, so we can't change at this stage, so I'm just hoping that the place is clean and that the room doesn't have ants  or a musty smell :( like I've read on other threads. I'm so worried about it, that last night I had a dream that we had arrived. Got a fine big room, with a beautiful view of a gorgeous landscaped pool. The only problem was... there were two other families allocated to share the suite with us!

With two small kids, most of our night-time socialising will be done at the hotel, so I'd be interested to know about the entertainment there. Also, how did your kids enjoy the daytime entertainment? (for the days when I just want to laze by the pool!).

I think we'll probably eat breakfast in our room, but I hope that the restaurant is nice enough for us to eat there and take advantage of the 'kids eat free' deal.

Any reports would be greatly appreciated.

You said you had read the other post, so I assume you saw what I had to say.....but just in case you didn't.......

When we stayed at the Sunspree in 2000, we really liked the pool. The rooms despite being recently remodeled still felt old and kinda dirty. We looked at the food court one afternoon and decided it wasn't for us. You said you were already bound to stay there. It isn't a ruin your vacation kinda place, it just wasn't to our taste and we won't go back. I am sure, as is evidence by conflicting post, that the hotel meets some peoples needs and they were satisfied, this just wasn't the type of place to which we are accustomed. They did appear to have lots of activities for the kids, but for us, for the most part the hotel simply serves as a place to land after a day at the parks so our kids didn't really participate, though we did spend one day at the hotel lounging around the pool, and they did play game in the arcade. We didn't have any bugs crawling around our room, though if they wanted to come in they could have crawled very easily through the 3/4 inch gap under our door.

Relax.....worrying about it when there's nothing you can do won't accomplish anything. I am sure you will have a good time. When you get back post here and let me know how it was.

I know you're right. Anyway, I'll put a report on here when I get back. Because we're travelling from Ireland, we're doing it through a travel company who have a rep. in the area, so at least if we have any problems, we have someone to help us out. :D Hopefully we won't need them!

Just wanted to provide details to my earlier comments. Housekeeping was OK. The main areas of the room were clean. However, found that they had not cleaned under the counter in the bathroom daily. Also, one night, there was a large bug crawling on the wall. My husband wacked it with a section of newspaper. The bug had fallen to the ground against the wall. Since it was late, I didn;t bother to get up and pick it up. Anyway, it remained there for 2 more days. I left it to see what HK would do.

As for the rest of the place, it did seem pretty clean. Didn't get to use pool, but it lokked like it had been worked on recently. Water was really clear.

As for kids activities, there are Disney movies played in a room off the lobby area (10 ft x 20 ft) with folding chairs. They start from around 9:30 in morning until 10 at night. ALso there is an arcade area. Could be costly to keep kids occupied in there. Seemed like many kids were being left there w/o parents so place was a little out of control. They also have a daily treasure hunt for the kids. Clues are left in different places within resort. Hand in answers by 8:00 pm and 3 winners are selected each day. Prizes are selected from box of things. Similar to what you would get from a doctor;s office. Nothing really great. But exciting for the kids

Only ate at the buffet once. Food was OK. Typical stuff - eggs, muffins, bread, sausage, bacon, grits. Drinks needed to be requested thru staff -- not too good there. Asked for refill for juice and took almost 5 minutes. Guy took care of other folks, wandered around room a couple of times and then got us the juice.

Overall, it was OK. Would not have been pleased if I payed full price, But with "next night free" I was Ok with it.

I was totally satisfied with my stay here. I'm going back in May and depending on the rates I find I may stay again. I need a hotel with a microwave and frig. I had no problems.

I never saw a bug while I was there 2 weeks ago. My room was on 5 and my friends were on 2. We both had the same experience. Our towels were folded into animals everyday. My Godson came to the hotel on the last day and loved the game room, in his opinion it wasn't to expensive.
I know you'll have a great time there.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thanks guys. At this stage now, I'm going to put my worries behind me and just look forward to my visit. Hopefully I'll be posting a report similar to Disney Chick2! :D
