We are headed there soon and want to hear how people liked it, what they recommend, etc. Got any tips? Advice?
Thanks

We have also stayed there in past years, and always enjoy it. I know others have commented on thin walls, but we have never had a problem. We always request the Dalmations section, which is not too far from the food court & bus stops. You could also walk over to the AS Mu if you wanted to check out their pools, etc. The Fantasia pool at AS Mo worked for us. It is a bit of a tight squeeze for 2 adults & 2 children, but works if you don't spend a ton of time in the room. I believe the closest park is AK. You can use the meal vouchers from Hotwire in the food court, and get a pretty decent deal.

I was there this past sept and loved it. I was there last year as well. 2 adults and 2 kids and during the hurricane. not to bad space wise. We stayed in th woody building 1st floor center and it was close to everything. food court pretty good also.

We just got back from a trip to WDW that included a stay at ASMo. The rooms are kind of small (we stayed at a 3 bedroom condo the week before), but they were clean and the kids loved the Toy Story theme. (We were in the Woody building.) The food court is very convenient and the resort mug was a great deal for my family. ::yes:: As for the pools... The Fantasia Pool is very cute, but it was so cold the day we decided to swim! :earseek: So, we went over to the pool by the Mighty Ducks section and it was much warmer.

Overall, we enjoyed ASMo. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask.

Have a great vacation! :Pinkbounc

Me and my kids were just there in November for a weekend stay and we were pleasantly supprised. We have previously only stayed at the moderates or the AKL, so I was worried about the "value" resort. It was a value, becasue I think I got my moneys worth.

I travel quite a bit and am a bit of a hotel snob so I was concerned, but while the room was a bit small, it was very clean and comfortable. I felt like the kids and I had plenty of room. Add another adult into the mix and I am not sure how it would have been.

I didn't find it noisy or anything, and I was told that they were completely sold out that weekend, so there were plenty of people. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room.

The only negative and it wasn't that bad was the food court was crowded.

I hope this helps reassure you. If you have any specific questions, let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

We've stayed there in the past. We were in the Mighty Duck section. It was great since there was a pool right there!

We have stayed in the Toy Story Section the last 2 years -- Jan, 2003 & Feb, 2004 in building 10 3rd floor.... they have elevators which is great for strollers, lugguage and tired feet. Never had to wait more then 5-10 minutes to check in --- In Jan we did have a not so clean room but after a couple calls we had a whole cleaning crew in the room with new bedspreads, new chairs ( chairs were pretty stained/ dirty ) and was very pleased...
When we got home we had a 25 disney dollars in the mail for our next annual trip.

Toy Story is very confident to have a night run to the food court to feel up refillable glasses with pop/hot chocolate or morning run for coffee while other spouse is getting the little one ready ---- awake... after 2 or 3 days there is sometimes is hard to get the kids/Adults around.

Up the sidewalk 1/2 block is the courtyard and on the way is the playground.
and great photo opps at the different sections for a great evening stroll or afternoon wide down before nap time...

I know you will enjoy yourself... I do agree sometimes the food court was busy but usually nothing unusual anywhere else in a busy time.

I prefer to eat breakfast off the hotel --- breakfast was a little slim pickings but lunch - burger/ or pasta wasn't bad... The first year there I wanted just a bowl of pasta for my 13 month old and they charged me full price of 4.99 for a child's meal of spaghetti --- even after speaking with that days manager there was not budging there...

Everywhere else on the Walt Disney parks, etc was very commidating with small servings and pricing accordingly. - WE have learned just to let him eat off us Or we order one adult entree and child entree and eat it between the 3 of us.--- unless buffet style they charge per person at table.

Have a great Magical Time!!

Another thing our favorite rooms in toystory building is room 0903 or 0905.. facing the court yard and can watch the people below coming and going.... You can fax your request in to the hotel 2-3 days before your arrival. we do that all the time and have no problem with our requests being meet.

We stayed there in January a few years ago. It was very nice. The pool area is great, but it doesn't have a slide. Fantasia is the closest building to the lobby. The foodcourt is also one of my favorites. :cool1:

We returned a week ago from a stay in the Mighty Ducks section. Pool right outside, but not all disturbed by noise. ASMu food court was a closer walk than ASMo & as the cups are good at all AS resorts, this was not an issue. Mousekeeping first couple of days was excellent, DDs teddy was doing something different every time we returned, but then the mousekeeper appeared to go on vacation or something & we received a regular service. Room was clean & tidy. Beds are uite high off the floor & DD (5) did struggle at times to get onto the bed! Even though pop warner was on, you'd hardly notice unless you hit the food court between 0830 & 1000. Generally we drove to the parks (MK the exception) as buses were crowded. DD enjoyed both Mighty Ducks & Fantasia pools & we are looking to reurn as a family of 4 in 2006. If there as anything specific you want to know, please ask.

Stayed there in 2001 and returning in Feb 2005. Room was fine for me, DBF, and DD. Fantasia bldg. close to food court, pool, laundry facilities. Were there at Thanksgiving 2001, losts of people, only felt crowded when trying to get a dryer after clothes were finished washing; had to wait one cycle. Other than that small, tiny, minor problem, everything else was great. Portions at food court were sizable, ice cream scoop was a good size also
