We will be staying just 1 night at the All Star Suites then splitting the rest of our trip between the Poly and AKL. Would like to hear how well it worked if anyone else has done that.

In 2002 we spent one night at the Swan, followed by five nights at Beach Club Villas, then three nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Our boys were 9 and 6 at the time.

The actual moving was not a big deal. We had a rental car, so we would just put our stuff in the trunk in the morning on moving days, and check in later in the day. Disney will transfer your bags for you and we took advantage of that as well for some of our stuff. It was fun and interesting to experience different resorts as this was only our 2nd trip as a family.

However having to pack up so many times was a little stressful. DW was grateful when on a later trip we FINALLY spent the whole trip in one place. 'nuff said!

Our trip two years ago we stayed at AKL, Then BC the Poly.

It was easier than we thought.

We would call bell services when we were ready to check out they would come & get our luggage within 5-10 minutes
After checking in to next resort we called and they would have our luggage up to us within another 5-10 minutes.

Packing up each time was a little inconvenient but we decided we wanted to try a few resorts we had not been at before

Future trips I would probably only split betwwen 2 resorts

we did not rent a car on this trip

Thanks for the input. The main reason we are staying at the All Star Suites is that we will be getting in late and didn't want to pay for a deluxe. We also thought it might give us a change to see if we would be interested in staying there in the future when our children are older. I don't think I would ever stay at 3 resorts otherwise.

A split stay with three resorts seems a bit much, unless guests were staying at least 10 days or more and broke up the stays relatively even among the resorts/hotels. Multiple packings are an intrusion of sorts on a WDW vacation although we've done it several times and plan to do it again. The key thing is: save your favorite hotel/resort for your last stop!

All the best.

I was thinking of doing a split stay between 2 resorts for our trip but was wondering about getting your tickets on your room key: one reservation would be packaged w/tickets and the other room-only???

Your next resort/hotel simply transfers your park tickets on your your new room key/card. At least that's been our experience before we became AP holders.
All the best.

We've stayed at 3 resorts when doing two week vacations
Other wise its been 2 resorts

In just 9 days I'll be back at WDW!
staying 4 nights Pop, 4 nights Coronado and 5 nights BCV

We like to do split stays every year, we usually stay at least 14 nights sometimes 17 nights. We move our luggage ourselves as we hire a car.

Last year we did CR, Universal RPR and AKL. This year we did CBR and Poly and next year we are staying at CBR, BC and Poly. It makes our stay seem even longer changing resorts.

One trip we stayed at three resorts, but one was at Universal. We first stayed about three nights at AKL, then about a week or so at Pop Century, then three or four nights at Royal Pacific. We drove to Florida, so we had the car. It also was November, so the weather was wonderful. The crowds, except for around Thanksgiving, were wonderful, too. I really enjoyed going to different resorts.

I must say that Universal has the notch up on Disney in the service department for their resort guests. The food is wonderful. The room was wonderful. The short trip to the parks is wonderful. The front of the line privilege is, well, so far beyond wonderful, that I cannot find the right words.

Getting back to the point, I love to switch resorts - it lets you try the more expensive ones for a few days. WDW moves your luggage for you, so going to three or more would be fun.
