I am 17 no job and its not really possible to get one this time of year.
I also need to start saving up for things like a car.
So i was wondering if i could sell things on ebay or sell makeup and was wondering if any one had any experience with this?

ETA: i do have some experence with refurbishing things like a picture frame i sanded down and repainted and some furniture ( i don't have room to do large things right now) but smaller things frames/jewlry boxes might be possible if my parents let me.

I am also really into doing my own makeup.

Do you mean selling your open used makeup? Yuck. Probably even a health code no-no there.

I've seen ebayers buy Mineral makeup in larger containers & split them into smaller containers for people who want to try a shade or who don't use a lot, but they are not selling used makeup & have purchased containers specifically for this use. Labelled professionally looking & include brand new unused brushes.

Or do you mean you make makeup & want to sell that? There's probably some laws & health code stuff there too for sure.

I've sold comic books and post cards on eBay. It's certainly not something I'd be able to make a career out of.

EWwww how would you even think someone would try to sell used makeup seriously?

I mean like avon mary kay ect.

A friend of mine sells Mary Kay makeup. (She has for several years now). She doesn’t make much. Of course, she isn’t much of a salesperson… OTOH, my mom has a co-worker who sells Avon and she makes a bit of pocket change. She doesn’t make a fortune, but she makes a little bit.

I think your best bet would be the refurbishing things. Could you go to a local thrift store or something and see if anything looks sellable with a bit of a paint-job/fixing up? Then you could sell that?

Or does your town have swap meets or craft fairs etc? If you could make/refurbish little things, you could try to sell them at something like that.

Sorry. It was because you talked about refurbishing picture frames so I thought you were looking to sell things you had around the house as you mentioned permission from parents. The connection of selling new makeup & used refurbished objects was not one I made. Sorry.
