Anyone seen the statement on the member site about a complimentary week in WPC???

Yes, got the e-mail today. The info. contained in the e-mail and the particulars of this incentive have been on the DIS for a while now, so nothing new...

Your right. It looks like they are just trying to re-word the incentive to make it look like it is a new and awsome deal. Gotta love that DVC marketing machine!

The link is now corrected and working on our DVCMEMBERS website (albiet not much else there works correctly). Basically instead of developer points or even double developer points you now get World Adventure Points, when purchasing an add-on, or referring a newbie (newbies need to buy 225 points).

The link has been removed and they corrected the duplication. They now have me very curious about the "free" week.

Free HA! Developer points if you buy add on points @ SSR or AKV is whats being offered. You can use these points to exchange into Interval International (for a fee of 95$) and that will get you 1 week's vacation (accomadations only airfare not included). What a generous offer in return for your $16,640 (for 160 add on points).

Sorry, feeling a little cynical today, I guess if your planning on buying an add on anyway its a nice perk. But a free vacation it is not... it's a room somewhere nice.... probably. :upsidedow

Yes...I hit the DVC jackpot yesterday: got the email regarding my "free" $15,000+ vacation, then the mail contained the postcard inviting me to reserve the "double-the-price" member cruise. Yep, I am one lucky gal !!! :teeth:

Wow, so are the Members cruises really double the cost?:scared1: I love taking the cruises and plan on taking one at least every other year. I would love to do a members cruise sometime, but not at double the price!:headache:

Okay...I admit that "double the cost" might be an exageration for dramatic effect. ;) However, it is priced quite a bit higher than other Disney cruises during the same timeframe. Especially when you consider it is the heighth of hurricane season, they only go to Castaway Cay, and are at sea the rest of the time. I'm sure they're a ton of fun but I'm just too thrifty with my points/cash to consider it. Maybe someday will ship will come in (literally!) or my kids will move out! :teeth:
