Anyone see the Target exclusive Skylander in stock??

I got a really good deal on the skylanders starter set for DD for christmas, and am slowly adding figures. I have yet to EVER see the target exclusive figure, Whirlwind, in stock at any Target. I asked at our Target, and the girl in electronics siad they have NEVER gotten any. They can be found on ebay and the like for $30 plus, but I AM NOT paying that for something the retails for $7.99, Anyone seen it at a real Target store??

ive seen a few of em, but it was before i was buying up the skylanders, of course now that my daughter wants the game i cant find that one.. hah

We got it at a target near us. Go to customer service and ask them to check nearby stores. We did get ours way before Xmas time though but still wasn't in stock at my closest target

thanks for the advice. I have asked at both Targts in our area and both say they haven't seen them. I guess I am out of luck.

Ordered one from Target online when it stated that was the only way to get it. Then online it changed to in stock only in stores - ours was still on backorder and they could not guarantee we would receive it. Found 1 at amazon for 12 + change and ordered there. Arrived right after Thanksgiving. My husband said he wanted to pay more rather than running to another town and spending gas money.

I didn't know about this special figure until I saw this thread. I spoke to someone at Target last night how often they were getting it in and they said it had been discontinued. Hopefully they were just saying that to get crazy moms off their back because it is a little early in the life of this product to have already discontinued a character (since they impact game play).

I've seen them quite a bit in the Des Moines, Iowa stores. We bought one over a month ago, but I've seen them several times since then. I'm sure they are probably all gone now though. I'll try to stop by one tonight and see if I can pick any up. If so, I'll post on here.

it probably has been "deleted" from their system, meaning they cant order it. not discontinued. vendors send in these items, so maybe if you see a video game vendor in target you could ask them? not sure if they would know but its worth a shot.

We have been able to score a total of 22 of the different figures - that includes what comes with the game. I bought all of them in the first few weeks that they come out. I had been advised the figures would go faster than the games. They are all gifts for my son for Christmas. Different family members have purchased them and I keep the master list and everyone checked in with me before purchasing them. There are still several ones he really wants and we cannot locate them.
This is continually being rated as one of the top 10 gifts for Christmas this year for kids.

Also, not related to the Target Exclusive, if you look on the Skylander website, it shows which ones aren't released yet. There are several that haven't been released. I'm glad I loaded up on all of them when I did. I had also heard that it was going to be a popular toy though, so we bought early. Good luck to those of you searching for them!

Toys R Us also has an exclusive 3 pack of "Legendary" characters.
Best Buy has the Drill Dozer (I think that's it's name)

Wow. DD asked for this game a few weeks ago. It was after the black Friday deals so I wasn't planning on getting it, but I just looked up the list of figures and I can believe there are 32 of them! Wow

I'm sure DD will be disappointed she didn't get this but I would feel the need to have all the characters and no way would I be able to get them all. I would drive myself nuts.

I'm going to the same Target tomorrow to pick one up, if there are 2 I'll grab an extra for you! I know what its like driving all over in search of THE gift. If I don't find any there we're going shopping this weekend and will now be hitting up every Target till I find it. Since I'm sure if I don't it will be the one DS "needs."

If anyone is having trounble with the walmart exclusive, Drill sargeant, let me know. Our wlamarts seem to have lots. There were at least a half dozen when i bought ours this week. Mabye we should start a trade thread for the ones we need??

thanks for trying! we have the legendarys for toysrus and the the walamrt exclusive. We got the legendarysw right before thanjksgiving as a freebie when we got the starter pack. Are they getting tough to find now?
