I didn't see it, but I know people staying down by Disney who were trying to go on I-4 East and were delayed for close to an hour because of this.
Here's an article about the ride from a few days ago:

It was from Downtown Disney to the Harley Davidson dealership near John Young Parkway.

My initial thought with this thread was that it was a charity ride, motorcycle groups do them all the time Good for themslight inconvenience no big deal for good causes
I hear ya and it's a good cause, but it was more than a slight inconvenience. I participate in charity as well, giving and collecting money, no need to close a major road and area down on a Sunday afternoon. Just write a check. Also the marathon was going on. Just my opinion of course.
Agreed. Having a police escort is one thing, but completely shutting down I-4 for an hour is beyond a "slight inconvenience".

I'm a biker, and that was most likely a poker run or ride, to raise money for a charity.
I hope everyone does not mind the inconvenience as we do many runs to raise money for great charities, most of which are for children with cancer, disabilities, etc.
Its a minor inconvenience compared to what the children who are recipients of those charities, have to deal with.

I don't think anyone would argue that. But you didn't see what I and others saw. Just write a check.

I have to say I'm all for charity and the bikers having their ride. BUT to do this on the same day as the WDW Marathon was awful, imo. Friends of mine who had finished got stuck for at least a 1/2 an hour.
In addition DTD area had no signs that I could see so I got stuck for 1/2 an hour. At least with WDW Marathon there were signs every where to expect delays.
Again, I am not against charity rides, but this was terrible to do on the same day.
I didn't need to be there to see it.
In my area, Northwest Florida, we did Toys for Tots in December and traffic was blocked off by the police for miles as 1500 bikes rode.
We raised lots of toys for children who wouldn't get any otherwise, and we raised thousands of dollars for the Children's Advocacy Center.
I agree...just write a check.
