anyone retire to diff state with no family/friends?

I've done it a couple of times and it worked out fine in both cases. I think with the internet now you can be as active as you want to be in terms of finding like-minded friends and groups, and you can always Zoom or FaceTime to stay connected to those you've moved away from.

We did. They followed us here. We are closer geographically than we’ve been since I was a kid.
