Anyone regret getting a Kindle

So, I can get the less expensive new Kindle ($139) if I only intend to download books at home? It's not important to me to download any ol' place.

Yes- it has WiFi only. You can use it when at home (as long as you have a wireless router) or anyplace that has WiFi (like Starbucks and other restaurants etc).

I was told that I didn't need a wireless router... that I could hook it right up to the computer like an Ipod.

I do not own one, but my DD does. And I just have to give a thumbs up to Amazon's customer service concerning the Kindle. DD takes hers to work with her. A few days ago she was leaving work, had put the Kindle in her purse but bent over to get something out of the bottom of her locker and her Kindle fell out of her purse onto the floor. It was in the case so she didn't think it broke, but when she got home she discovered it did break.

She called customer service and they overnighted her a new one, she got it yesterday.

I never thought I would want one, but after having her show me how hers works I just may be changing my mind.

Yes- you can use the USB cable and hook up to your home computer to download content.
