Anyone recently stay at Carousel Inn & Suites?

We booked a resort suite (2bd/2ba) for May, and I've been reading the reviews and am a little nervous now. There are 7 of us (mom, dad, 4, 4, 5, Grandma, Grandpa). We also have a reservation at the Hyatt Orange County in the VIP Family Suite.

The Hyatt is really nice, but further away. The Carousel is really close, but seems to be not so nice. Other problems I read about were no elevator in some areas, noisy, rooms not clean, etc.

Experiences?

I stayed there in January and had no problem. My room was great. The rooms on the right side do not have an elevator but it's only 2 stories. The other side is 4 or 5 stories and there is definitely an elevator on that side.

I stayed there in September. The rooms were clean and quiet enough. It is more motel like, and I was also a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, but our stay was perfectly pleasant. The location cannot be beat, too. Don't discount how wonderful it is to be that close to the parks.

I'd stay at the closer hotel simply because you have small children. I wouldn't be very concerned with the complaints of a place being noisy. Every hotel around there is full of families going to disneyland, and that means a ton of kids. Kids mean noise, nothing you can do besides bringing some ear plugs :)

If your room isn't clean enough for you, just ask the front desk to send a housekeeper to reclean it while you go for dinner or ask to be moved to a new room. They'd rather send someone to clean it again than be reviewed online as being dirty.
