Read both books and loved them. Asked DH to read Angels and Demons because I wanted him to tell me what was fact / fiction scientifically. (He's an electrical engineering professor. Has done a little research in some of the areas discussed.) He said it was a great book, lots of super fiction. Then he gave me a couple of links to show me what was real and what wasn't. When he comes home later, I'll add the links to this post. He said a lot of the scientific explanation was simplified (as it needed to be) to the point that it really wasn't accurate. One big instance that he gave me was the explanation of antimatter. The book, if I remember correctly, says that antimatter maintains a charge that is essentially opposite that of matter. DH said that oversimplifies it to the point that it makes it completely inaccurate and pretty much negates much of what actually happens with the antimatter. Anyway, that's just a sample. (And I'm an English teacher trying to explain it.) I'll post the links later.
Loved the books. Anyone read some of his other books? I started to pick one up and then thought I should try something else first. I'll probably get back to one soon.
