Anyone planning a summer '06 trip, and if so..

Our first July trip is coming up. We have been in Sept several times, October, and November. None of which where hot or crowded. We also went to Hawii in July and had wonderful weather so our plan is to continue that and bring the mild weather with us.

6/21 through 6/28 at the BC. Have ALWAYS gone in the summer, from early June to mid August. Sure it's hot, but that has NEVER stopped us. After all, you're in central Florida in the summer. Start early, drink lots of water, use EE and FP and take a mid-day break. Return in the evening. Parks open later, little or no refurbs, and no missing out on school for the kids. Would not think about going any other time. And when you really come down to it, you're in the greatest place on earth. ENJOY!!!

I am another who loves the heat of the summer. We went over Thanksgiving in 05, and I thought I would freeze to death!

We buy the neck cooling things from the local sports shop. The ones that you wet, and wrap around your neck. I am a cutie when you combine that with my fanny pack!:rotfl2: Actually, people stop and ask about them. I would not think about going without them.

We go in June every year. It's no hotter there than here, so it doesn't bother us too bad. The main thing is to keep plenty of cold water handy.

Our theory is, we can be hot at Disney World...or we can be hot at home doing exciting things like working in the yard or washing the car!!!! ;)

Guess which one we pick???

This will be our first summer trip in the third week of August. Last time, we went in early March and it was just perfect - besides the very low crowds, the weather was nice and warm most of the week (a little chilly at night, but it definitely beat the weather in NYC). My first choices for our trip this year were May or September since the weather seems better, but due to several reasons, August was the only time we could go.

So how hot/rainy would you say it is?? I'm expecting it to be super hot and hope that lots of water and sitting in the shade and going inside to the AC during the day will make it bearable for me (I admit that I can be a wimp and a whiner)...but it's the rain I worry about! How much does it tend to rain??

In August, it rains almost every day. Some days it lasts for five min. and some days it can last for hrs. We have only had two days out of about 30 where the rain changed our plans :thumbsup2. That is except for hurricane Charlie. The rain helps cool things off.
