anyone pay for Vaca with Gift cards?

I can earn more than $500 in free gas if I pay for our trip with gift cards from Giant Eagle. Any one done this.... I know if we cancel $ goes back to gift cards

I paid for more than half of our last trip w/ gift cards.

I just waited to do it till my 45 day mark so that I knew for sure we were going. That way I didn't have to worry about it going back onto the gift cards.

Which cards from Giant Eagle are you using? I know they have southwest cards but I'm not sure what else I would use. I've been trying to do this more even though its a bit out of my way, every little bit I can save on gas helps.

Yes Disney cards and when I use my citizens visa I get another 3 cents for 23c for every $50 card. I need 95 so thats $655!!!!!! I already got 40pecent off at the Poly..I will save a total of $3100!

I love getting my fuelperks! I try and buy a disney giftcard once a month to have some spending money for when we go to Disney in November! then you get your foodperks when you pump gas!!! gotta love giant eagle!!!

I did this and we just went tonight and got another FREE tank of gas (our third) We booked our trip through AAA and I always joked with the AAA agent that she hated to see me come through the door with my $50 GC, but she was extremely nice about it.

Ok, I don't have a Giant Eagle in our area but we do have a Martin's and a Kroger. Martin's carries a Disney gift card BUT you do not earn any gas point...booo

I have looked at Kroger's website and you get double gas points back for certain gift cards. If i'm reading it correctly, I can get an American Express card and get the gas points. Now the biggest questions is.....does Disney accept American Express cards?

it's a limit of $1000 per transaction...... so if you need more than $1000 do it more than one transaction

I did it when my DDs went to private school and they had a script program. I got a certain percentage of the gift card taken off tuition - it was great.

We're doing this for our upcoming trip in August. We're buying them a few at a time so we don't risk losing any of the gas points as they are only good for three months.

I am also going to do this, just saw today in my adthat starting the 29th that it will be 20 cents on Disney Gift Cards.
