Anyone own at HH?

We are looking to add points to our DVC. We are considering buying at HH since it is the same use year as our VWL points.

However, I would like to be able to trade them for the Orlando resorts.

When you own at HH, do you have the same trading power as owners in Orlando???

Have any of you HH owners had problems trading for Orlando resorts?

And, lastly, if we choose to go to HH, how is it???

We own at Hilton Head... we were actually there the third week of May... The weather was awesome.... I heard the weather here was terrible.

Anyway... My husband bought HH as a surprise to me.... We have only been there 2 times.. Not that I don't like it, I really do... but since we had our daughter, we have been taking trips to Orlando... we have never had a problem getting what we wanted but we also tried to go on "off" times...

Hilton Head is nice and relaxing but there is a bunch of stuff to do too. We just relaxed when we went... Beach, pool, etc. I say go for it!

P.S.. not that this has anything to do with this - but I see you are from Long Valley, NJ.... I am originally from Staten Island, NY.... I go pumpkin picking out by you and I love it out there... I should have bought a house there years ago --- now it's too expensive!

I own at HHI and I have been able to get VB anytime I want, BCV and VWL have been the hardest but I have stayed at both. I seem to be able to get SSR anytime I want at the 7 month window.

We own at HH and have had no problem with reservations in Orlando. We LOVE HH!

I have never had a problem getting WDW resorts with my HH points. I have more problems getting HHI with my BWV/BCV points.

As my son ages, we are spending more and more time at HHI. If it weren't for the closing cost and all, I would probably offer to trade you my BWV or BCV points for a comprable HHI contract. Then everyone is happy.

As for how is HHI - oh (finger crossed behind back) it is awful. You really need to stay at the WDW resorts, thereby freeing up rooms at HHI for us people who are punishing ourselves and staying there.

I am a HH owner and DH and I love it there! Even our teen son requests we visit for a least a few days every year, which surprises me.

We have been owners since 2001 and have never had a problem getting into OKW when we want but we do not usually travel during the holidays/peak periods. We did once over a Thanksgiving week and had to wait list for a few days but they came through pretty quickly.
