(Inspired by my own pool table thread.) :rolleyes1

I always wanted a pinball machine as a kid, who didn't?

Anyone go out and buy one as an adult?

We do! It is and older 90's one called the Getaway! I like it and the kids love to play it.

We also have a Cruisin World driving machine, which the kids really love! I play it once in awhile, but still love pinball more.

We did !!:thumbsup2

We bought the Creature from the Black Lagoon...a 90's very collectible pinball. It was so much fun. We bought it off Ebay and it was pricey.

We kept it for about 2 yrs and then sold it on Ebay....we just didn't want it in our living room any more and our house is small and we had no where to put it. plus I think the novelty wore off.

but we miss it sometimes...it was really fun to have it. :goodvibes

I did not know that you had posted this when I made my comment on your jukebox thread. Seriously. :p

My Dad bought a 50's style pinball game for $125 from an antique store about 15 years ago and refurbished it. And since there is another thread about jukeboxes. A year or two after he got the pinball game, he got a jukebox (1960's Ricola) and refurbished that. Some guy was selling it on the radio classifieds for $50. This was still pre-internet (well, prodigy and compuserve existed) so he did a lot of running around trying to find parts for them.

Yes, but given the number of times it had to fixed, never again. Too many moving parts, so little time.

DH purchased a pinball machine called High Speed II The Getaway. It is a big hit with DS12's friends.

I've considered this too, perhaps I will soon.

One of my sons purchased a pinball machine. It's got a race car theme, and is brand new. Lots of ramps, lights, etc. Actually a bit difficult for me to grasp all the bells and whistles. It was very expensive.

The only thing I would advice if buying one is to be certain that you have somewhere or someone on hand to fix it if (when) it messes up.

Enjoy.

We have several. We also have a warehouse full of bits and pieces of arcade machines. It's a hobby of my DH's, and we sell parts and sometimes whole machines on eBay or through an auction that comes through town a few times a year.

YUP:thumbsup2 ...a Playboy one...got it last year with the pool table...Mantown is now complete:banana: :woohoo: :cool1:

No, but I've always wanted one!!!! It's so far down on the "wants" list that I doubt I'll ever have one.

we have one but its not real, its still fun though.
its the zizzle POTC one.

I don't, but my parents bought 2 vintage pinball machines when my brother and I were in HS. One's called Lost World and is the more "modern" of the two, and I'll be hanged if I can remember the name of the other one. It's got a Bicentennial theme, if that gives a hint as to its age.

I still love playing 'em (and other machines, too)...the last summer I lifeguarded, all of us on staff became addicted to the Addams Family pinball machine and spent all of our breaks (and God knows how much $$!) playing it. That's one I wouldn't mind owning someday. It was very cool.
