Hi my fellow DISers I just ordered a set of Packit Lunch bags they are the kind you put in the freezer and keeps your lunch cold for 10hrs I got 2 for $17.00 (steals and deals) so hoping they are as good as they say, it would be good to take to Disney to keep beverages cold let me know TIA. :goodvibes

I bought them for my girls and I for our lunches. They do seem to keep things cool for a good period of time but I find the size to be frustrating. I feel very limited in the types of containers that I can put in them. They would be a good shape and size for a few water bottles and I'm assuming you'll have a stroller to put it in for carrying so the lack of long strap won't be an issue for you. I do think it keeps food colder longer than when I use an insulated lunch box with ice packs which is what I have to do when bringing containers of food to work which don't fit in the pack-it. I will say that the velcro doesn't seem to last. I could only use them for my kids for around half the year before they started coming open all the time when carrying. If you're going to have it sitting in the bottom of a stroller and they'll still be new then they should work well.

Will you have a full fridge with a freezer in your room?

clanmcculloch thanks for your response, good to know it does work :thumbsup2 since we usually stay off-site we have a full size fridge :)

we have them for our two daughters. They love them, and when they get home from school the pack its are still cold. Not frozen, but cold. We would buy them again. And what a great idea to bring them to the parks!

I bought 2 for my son's current school year. Before the year, I tested one by setting it out on the counter. It was cold for maybe 6 hours. My son goes to school for 6 hours so it works well for him. Unfortunately, since the freezer element is high up on the back side, the bag doesn't stand up well at all. It's frustrating when trying to load and it keeps falling over and closing up. As with another, the velcro didn't last on the main one he was using so I switched to the back-up one around a month ago. I personally wouldn't buy them again but we will continue to use them as long as they hold out.
