Anyone own a Ford Windstar minivan??

We have had 4 of them since 1996. Never any issues- one had a paint defect on the roof but couldn't see it unless you were up there washing the roof. Many trips from MI to FL without any problems. Lots of room and very comfortable and easy to drive. Good luck. :earboy2:

I have a 1998 Windstar and it's been a great van so far. Four trips to Disney a total of 8,000 miles.

i had a 98 Windstar and it had 3 transmissions..all paid for by my warranty or extended warranty....when the trany started to go again, I dumped it. it had 80k miles...loved the van and sometimes miss it, but hated the transmission

CAUTION!!!!!
The bumper to bumper is good for 3 years or 36,000 miles...the 3 years is from when it goes into service...make sure that is when you bought it and not when the dealer received it...I can't remember which it is( i worked at a Ford dealer when I was in high school and still have a friend that is a GM with Ford )
Good luck...

I did down size to an Escape and love that.

me too!! Aren't they great??

Oh..and I forgot about the check engine light!! Mine did that too right at the end. I also had a problem with the rear air..it would get stuck on heat instead of cool..had to have it replaced 2x

I admit, I have heard they fixed the trany problems in the later models

The warranty is effective from the day that you take possession of the van.

oh good..thanks..I wasn't sure and the more I thought about it, the more I couldn't remember....are you from Coral Springs??
