Anyone out there a grad student?

I am. It's spring break for me this week - and I'm assigned to 2 projects. I have tons of data collection to do - that I can do right here on the good ole Internet. I don't even have to schedule anything -- I've gotten almost zero done this week. Anyone else find that because it's spring break they are getting diddly squat done?

I attend an online program through a brick and motar school. I think next week is their Spring Break, but it seems that the professor I have this semester is not following that schedule, since we are, online after all. Although, in the past, even in the online program, most of my professors have had 'Srping Break" built in to the schedule.

However, my husband's Spring Break is in 2 weeks and I will be at Disney during that time, however I will have to bring my laptop along to stay on top of work. Luckily, I have no assignments due immediately after the Disney trip, it's basically a reading week for me, but I do have to keep on top of messages that are posted to the class discussion board.

Although, this is nothing new for me to bring that laptop to Disney. I have always been in school when we have gone for the past two years. One day I had a quiz that was due on a Wed at 6 p.m. I almost forgot all about it, until we were riding the bus back to SSR at 4:45, and it was like a lightbulub went off. While I had read the chapter that week, the quiz was asking very specific things that I had to refer back to the book to work out. So there I am furiously shuffling through the book, completeing my quiz, whiel I got the hubster to take DD for a walk around the property. I finished my quiz at 5:56 with minutes to spare......whew!

I'm a Grad student on Spring Break as well. I had it all planned out to get to working on my research paper, but did that happen? No.

I'm a grad student on spring break also. I had considered spending spring break doing rewrites on my evidence based project (what my program has instead of a thesis), but decided instead to just not even look at it. School will come again in a week, and once again, I'll be spending my weekends writing. This is my time off! Wish I could afford a real vacation, but it's still a nice change. I'm going to get my job applications off, probably do some interviews next week, and clean my house. Woo hoo!

Are you goind the GOML program? I got my master's through Valdosta State online with GOML and am about to do my Ed.S.

Just curious if there was another Diser out there doing the same!

I started - i got 3 records collected and then Excel decided to do some funky stuff. Maybe it's telling me to stop

I have two projects I'm working on. One collecting a bunch of internet data and the other requires actual interviews. I think I'm learning that I need the scheduling of interviews to actually get some work done - not the "collect data on the internet" at my leisure project!

I do have an interview scheduled this afternoon, so that will force me to get that done at least.

Yes. I am in GOML through Georgia Southern University. I am working on my M.Ed in Instructional Technology.
