I just ordered a tracfone from amazon - saved a lot from the cost at tracfone or local stores. It was amazon prime so free 2 day shipping.

I forgot how bad tracfone cs was. I bought dd a double minutes phone, added the card and did not get double minutes. 2 calls later-still no resolution.

I find tracfone service via their facebook page to be wonderful. Just post a message as to your issue and a rep should promptly PM you.

I tried that and I'll see what they say. Interesting 'cause their phone CS is always very nice but rarely helpful.

which phone did you find cheaper than tf.

I also ordered a tracfone this past summer. really bad. kind of tricks you into using up all your minutes by putting the data button next to everything.

returned it and they charged me to ship it. both ways NEVER AGAIN do i use tracfone

Is the phone DS wants. I have had tracfone for years and years and haven't really had any problems. Hit the data button 2x I think..

He isn't going to use it anyway.. just wants to be "in".

The whole site says "free shipping" but then when you pick your shipping method it says "free shipping.. $14.95". I have read a lot of people had problems. CS did answer immediately on FB and told me to let her know if it doesn't work.. still too chicken to try.

I placed an order this morning. I was sent to an order summary page after putting in my payment method, and on that page it showed the $14.95 shipping, then a $14.95 shipping credit. So it was free

I'm also getting a $15 gas card, and the phones were $20 (each) cheaper than on Amazon or Walmart.

I'll give it a go in a bit. I had read on another site that people were getting charged for it.. you gave me hope. I'll let you know how I make out.
I want to avoid dealing with their CS. It's always very frustrating, even though my issues have been resolved.

shopcelldeals is a seller on ebay that I have received great service from in regards to tracfone's and minutes.

Also Howardforums is a good place to get your tracfone questions answered.

That's the trade-off -- for great pricing, something is bound to be sarificed/outsourced -- in TracFone's case, it's customer service.

As for buying TF, I strongly recommend checking-out HSN's offers, which largely trump anything else that's out there...
