I just checked our US/IOA tickets (we ordered them through Airmiles a few weeks ago). There is nothing on them that says "expires on so-and-so-date", but there is a bunch of codes on them (node number, serial number, tran number and PLU number). Just to be sure, I'd just email Airmiles and ask them to confirm that any tickets you order in 2008 will be valid for 2009. :goodvibes

I also received mine recently from Airmiles. I was surprised at how quickly they were delivered. Got them in about 1 week. I was under the impression that the 2 park unlimited tics had no expiry, so that is why i bought them for my 2009 trip. There is no expiry listed on them.

the tickets don't expire until 14 days after the first use.

Mine says it expires 6 days after use! - Universal and IOA

You must be thinking of the WDW tickets.

I was also believed when I used my airmiles that they don't expire. I was planning on using mine for a future trip.

the two parks unlimited pass - how many days is it for? it doesn't say on the website but it corresponds to the name on the universal site that is for 7 days - can anyone confirm?

I called airmiles and spoke to a person who needs some serious customer service training, he was condescendingly telling me it's obviously for one day while looking at the same info I am on the website which says nothing about one day. When I asked him to either check on the info he was giving, or provide me written confirmation from himself he refused to do so - when I asked his name he hung up on me  I am super grumpy right now... so if anyone can let me know the answer it would brighten up my day :rotfl:

Sorry, no answer but oh my nerves. How rude of him! Now I'm in a bad mood thinking about having to call there soon.

Well..you can call him back and tell him he obviously has no clue what he is talking about!

On the airmiles page where there is info on the ticket there is a Terms and Conditions link..this is what it says.....

The 2-Park Unlimited Admission Ticket entitles one (1) adult admission to Universal Studios®, Universal's Islands of Adventure®, and Universal CityWalk® for a total of up to seven (7) consecutive calendar days which includes the first day any theme park of CityWalk portion of the ticket is used.

The Universal CityWalk component of a ticket is not valid for separately ticketed concents and special events. Some venues require ages 21 or older for admission. Photo ID required. Does not include admission to Universal Cineplex 20, an AMC theatre. Subject to availability.

All tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and valid only during normal operating hours. Operating hours and availability of attractions and shows are subject to change without notice. No expiration date on ticket.
For more information, visit Universal Orlando website.

Thanks for the support :) what upset me most was that I started out the call so excited because I only found today that we could actually use airmiles to buy universal tickets, which finally persuaded DH that we could go and then he went and burst my-great-bubble :headache:

I'm sure he was a one off, it would be a very successful call centre if everyone was that miserable (I think he must have come from aeroplan ;)
Good luck with your plans!!

Finally got on airmiles website, for some reason all I got was a blank screen for the rest of weekend (thinking conspiracy theories). I never thought to click on "terms and conditions" thinking it was legal jargon from airmiles but as you said it stated 7 days pass.

Ordered up :cool1: plus we have changed our WDW reservations and are now staying at AKL then changing to PB for 5 nights - I'm so excited!

You cannot beat univeral FOL - that alone is worth the cost of staying onsite no matter what the hotel is like (which is fabulous by the way)

thanks again for all of your help :flower3:

We've ordered and used the 7 day pass from Air Miles and received it promptly and it worked great!

We bought some airmiles US/ IOA Tickets in March 08 to use in July. We did not get a chance to use them, so in December 08 we were able to use them and had no problems. We actually bought some more for December 08 as we went with 15 people, but we were unable to us one adult one and two kids ones that are from AMA. I think I might try and sell them now.

Too bad! I've ordered them now!

Problem with buying someone else's passes is that you have no idea if they have been used or not.
