Palo Brunch 11:00 Reservations

Castoff--Tina & Chuck
Disneypoly--Maureen & Anthony

Shelley- why don't you make reservations and then you can cancel up to 24 hours before if your 9 yr old doesn't like the club. I know I can't stand not knowing the rotation because it really makes a difference in what I want to do.

Tina - I think that it is great that you are including the kids in everything.

I really need to stop trying to plan everything and go with the flow or I will just get annoyed because nothing ever goes as planned.

Did anybody else hear about the possible Disney worker strike?

Linda

Linda: What is your spouses name?

Maureen: What is your spouses name?

Shelly: Don't sweat it, If you find out anything about the club on the first day let me know. I still have to find out if I can do this. Tina

Linda: Strike :earseek: :earseek: What????? no I haven't heard anything. I don't think I wan't to know anything. ::yes:: The kids are included in the ceremony also. We are presenting them with family medallions. They are part of our vows. They are getting very excited.

It wasn't all workers - bus drivers, housekeeping, costume characters and a few others. All they are doing at this time is possibly giving the union the right to strike if negotiations fail. My mother woke me up with the news this morning. She read it in the Syracuse newspaper.

I hadn't heard about the possible strike but just looked up the Orlando Press article from this morning. It says something like - WDW and union agreed Thursday to a tentative contract that will likely avert a strike at the theme park resort.
Union leaders will recommend contract approval to its members when they vote on it next Thursday.

Sounds good enough, but I wish they weren't voting on it the day we leave! That timing's a little too close for comfort.

Palo brunch thing - I'm at a disadvantage with leaving the kids in the club. I'm starting to feel ok about it, but since we don't leave them (and I mean NEVER, not even with a sitter - ever), it may make the brunch not so relaxed for me. Even on other cruises, it never occured to me to try the kids programs. We just did everything as a family. When my teens got older, they would go off on their own, but it was their decision. This is what I'm hoping will happen with my youngest son and the club. I've heard nothing but rave reviews of the kids programs. I'm looking forward to a new situation here and hope we all enjoy it.

I was also planning on doing the Palo's Brunch! Hubby didn't really want to do a dinner there, so I figured we'd just go there on the brunch. Hopefully DS will really enjoy the kid's club and I won't feel guilty leaving him there ;)

o.k becca I added you to the list. I just need yo know your DH name. I am sure your DS will enjoy the kids club. Our children did last time and we didn't do Palo............we were afraid of getting a page.:hyper: They had too much fun. The adults deserve a break once in awhile.........It will only be an hour my guess. Enjoy it. I love seafood and I hear they have shrimp and crab legs yum yum.

it'll be becca and Eric

I was talking to my son earlier about the ship, and asked him "if we were on the ship, would YOU want to play in the kid's area?" he nodded and said "of course!"

So I don't think i'll feel that guilty ;)

Brunch at Palo sounds like fun, but I don't think I'll be able to talk my husband into it. Does anyone have any good suggestions on how I can convince DH that it would be fun? Oh an other thing ,what is the dress code for brunch?

Thanks Jeannine

Jeannine,

From the main board, sounds like the dress code for brunch is "resort casual". With that in mind, my DH will likely wear nice shorts/pants (not jeans) and a polo shirt, and I'll most likely wear a skirt and sweater.

Hi Jeannine: From what I have read on the other board it is resort casual. Some people have even worn shorts to brunch. I have heard the Brunch is a NOT TO MISS EVENT. They give you mim mosa's o.k I know I didn't spell that right. Tell him about the food. All the breakfast and lunch items are fantastic. Of course you can't beat the view or the company:teeth: Hows that? Tina

Thanks Becca and Tina! I'll talk to my husband. If I tell him he can go in shorts and a nice shirt he may think about it.

Hi Tina

It's so considerate of you to include all of us in your brunch idea. Please count Leslie and I in. 11/24 is our actual anniversary day and we were thinking of doing the brunch so we could spend evening with our boys celebrating. Please let us know what we need to do. Thank you again

Dennis & Leslie
