I'm half tempted to add smilie faces to my magnet door sign...

For those that are doing signs, are you going to do it in sheets? Or cut out magnets and put them on the door? I was thinking about doing both, having single 8x11 sheet, and then add magnets all around it or something...

I just did a single 8x11 sheet. Then I did mickey mouse heads with our names on them. I did this before I new we were doing the tag game soooooo I just cut a strip and wrote Castoff on it and I will put that on top of cabin door number *&%$. Almost gave it out.:teeth: Tina

Quick question on the magnetic strips -- do they feed through your computer printer? I am new to them -- can I purchase them at an office supply store (Officemax/Staples)?

Thanks for the advice.

I made a bunch of little magnets to decorate around both the front and back of the door. My printer tried to eat the paper a couple of times, but then it took it.

We bought ours at Walmart, but I have seen them in OfficeMax/Office Depot. As to printing them, I'm sending it in with DH to print at the office since our printer here at home is quite tempermental!

Yes, they are supposed to feed through your printer. They look like a regular piece of typing paper, but the back has a super thin sheet of maget on it.

Once I set my printer to thick paper (like I use when I print on card stock), it printed just fine.

I bought my pack at Walmart for about $7 or $8. It has 5 81/2 x 11 sheets.

Avery labels #3270 for those of you that just want to order or be able to tell the office store worker.

We're arriving in Orlando at 10pm on the 17th so we decided to stay at the Hyatt. We'll be staying at AKL the 18- 21.

Downtown Disney is great. My families favorite places are the Lego store and Ghirardelli.

I just bought my magnetic paper tonight. I'm going to try and make our signs sometime this week.

Are we there yet!

Tina - thanks for the tips, except then I spent another hour on that thread. This is so addictive. I will try to start working on my door magnets in the next few days.

Here is a funny story - my family(mother, sisters) gave me suitcases for my birthday - they gave me two and then said oh yeah we know how you pack and brought in a third one. Of course, if I fill them and bring them on the cruise I will probably have to leave one of my kids home. :hyper:

Did the kindergarten cupcakes today:crazy: - that is an experience. Of course they were yellow tweety cupcakes and now my fingers are stained yellow. I sure there was a lot of mothers not happy with me today - yellow hands and red kool-aid (they had Chuckie Cheese coupons on the red ones)

Have a good night everybody - I'm going to try and stay off the boards and actually work tomorrow. Doubt it but I'll try.

Linda

If you have been reading the above posts then you know how the game works and that you need a magnectic door sign that says your screen name on it.
