Just hang in and don't get yourself too upset or stressed. Alot can happen over the next few weeks - both GOOD and bad... Most likely CC will not be an option, but I have faith that Disney will do their best to keep us all happy.

I was talking to my husband a few days ago*, explaining the situation with Frances and all the current cruises and how disappointed I was at the possibility of missing CC and he reminded me that - as long as we are all together and have the oppurtunity to make great memories then I have NOTHING to be upset about. So that's the way I'm looking at it now. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with him, as he is a man of VERY FEW words.

*He's been in Iraq for 9 months, is coming home for 2 weeks and then is headed back for another 5 months.

Keep your chin up and keep smiling it'll all work out one way or another!

Hey thanks for the uplift

I'm playing my "cruise music" cd now and getting hyped up. Can you believe after all this waiting we are now just over two weeks away??

I am going to get out a tote bag and start packing this week -- guess we won't need those snorkel sets :-( but I'll pack stuff like sunscreen, toiletries, our Pal Mickey and other incidentals -- woo hoo!

Looks like I saw Cozumel was a possible alternate port (after reading thru so many threads, not quite sure where I saw it, but I KNOW I saw it). Might want to check out some of the excursions for Cozumel (on Barb's site, you know - the one that always gets starred ****** out ) maybe something there will catch your eye if the options are given to us to pick some new ones.

I am disappointed in myself that I am not more excited that we sail in a little more than 2 weeks but with Hurricanes Charley and Frances and the very real possibility of Ivan. I have done no packing, except for hurricane prep and that doesn't count and no shopping. I need to get myself into gear. Now I'm worried that Skye's absence might not be approved for the cruise because of all the hurricane days. Maybe once I have my docs in my hands I'll be more excited

Hi everyone. This will be our very first cruise: DH, DGS, (2) DGD and myself. I have wanted to go on a cruise for at least 5 years. Finally, my DH said lets go and take the grandkids on a Disney cruise. It didn't take me long to get booking. The children are 9, 8 and 5. They are soooooo excited. Their first plane trip and cruise and we get to share the experience with them. I feel so blessed!

You all sound like very nice people and have made the planning experience fun! Thanks for your support to questions.

Well, the TA made it back to Tampa, but I can't get in touch with her... phone lines are down in that area of town (Thanks Frances <---- sarcastic) and there is flooding where the agency is located. I'm getting antsy

... isn't that SO WRONG - I can't help it tho??

Have to agree with you on the packing, not with it... I did however, just make a list of 'hurricane' items I need to restock. Waiting until tomorrow to hit the store. I REALLY think the docs will nudge me to get with it tho!!

Guess I just have to wait it out...

I too am going to be on this cruise with my family-DH, 2 DS, 2 DD. I culdn't wait for months and now I am thinking hold up until everything is cleaned up. I just got my docs yesterday, now I'm getting real nervous. I just know I have a lot of packing to do for 6 people for 10 days because we are going to WDW for 6 days before the cruise. I just hope I don't need so much at the store so I don't go broke even before leaving on vacation.

I work at Walmart and as soon as the shelves are replenished, they are empty again. Water esp is a hot commodity. Canned goods and water is all I really need to restock on. Looks like Ivan will be paying us an unwelcomed visit in FL. GO AWAY IVAN!!!!!!

I wonder when all this cruddy weather will end - today our newspaper (Tampa Tribune) referred to it all as the 'Conga line of Storms'.

Heard from the TA - her office is powerless, phoneless and water logged. So it may be another week before I see those docs... need something to get me in the mood. I think it may be time for the Jimmy Buffet

and some Margaritas this weekend

Hey- this might get you in the mood! I just read elsewhere on this board that the 9/25 Magic is scheduled to make all the planned ports - including CC!! WOW - I had about given up on that. I hope its true!!!

Just wondering -- did any of you receive upgrades from your original reservations?

I saw that on a couple of threads also - would be GREAT if it were true. Wish they (DCL) would make some official announcement tho.

Once I get the docs, I'll let ya know. Did you see someone got bumped up to a Cat. 3 - WOW that would be REALLY nice!

Hi all
Keeping a close eye on Ivan. I haven't been giving enough thought to our upcoming cruise though I haven't stopped thinking about coordinating a DISmeet while onboard. Last time lookingforward (Maureen) emailed me she still didn't have power. I have been reading DCL Passporter Guide to get an idea about what is where onboard. It should definately be a child friendly area for those of us with little ones. I'm sorry I have been so slow with this but if anyone has any thoughts PLEASE feel free to input. I need all the help I can get

This is our first DCL trip. I'm kinda worried that I dont have any cruise docs. Esp since ive seen a number of you mention in this thread that you have your docs already. Called the TA, she said its normal for docs not to go out until 14 days b4 the cruise. Is this true? With all the uncertanty about the weather lately it would be nice to have something in hand that says we are really going. I know we are going (Disney has my $$$), but it would just be the extra "warm and fuzzy" to make it more of a reality.
