Hi. We're a family of four - myself, my husband, and my daughters 6 and almost 5 - and we're first time Disney cruisers on the March 27 Magic. Anyone else?

We'll be there, too. Myself, DH, DD-7 and DD-9. This will be our second cruise and we have never been as excited about a vacation as we are this time! Is it just the three of us? It seems like most of the other dates have a lot more posts!

Hi -

Myself, DH, DS10 & DS8 will be onboard on the 27th also. We are first timers and are very excited. Both boys are counting down the days!!:bounce:

jomik-

Are your boys John and Michael? Just a guess based on your screen name. My DD is 9 (turning 10 on 4/5) but is very much a tomboy. Almost all of her friends are boys and she spends all of her free time playing soccer, basketball, football and playstation. She'd probably fit right in with your two!

KAMLEM

You're close on the name. They are Joey & Michael. Your daughter will fit right in. Joey turns 10 in June and loves sports. Plays basketball, football & baseball. He also loves anything to do with nintendo, gamecube or PS2.:wave2:

oops - Joey turns 11 (not 10) in June & Michael turns 9 on the boat (March 28th)

jomik1-

Did you tell them that it was your son's birthday? At one point I spoke to them and they asked me if it was ok for them to note that it's my daughter's birthday so they could do something special. Her birthday isn't even while we are on the ship-it's 2 days after we get off. I have no idea what they do and I don't know if it's because we are in a cat. 3 with concierge so I didn't tell her anything. I wouldn't want her to be disappointed.

We did let them know about his birthday and they are going to have a cake at dinner for him. We are going to do that on the 29th since we are at sea and I know we won't miss our dinner seating.

Just DH and I taking our very first cruise!! We're so excited!!!
Oh, I guess there will be 3 of us - I'll be 16 weeks pregnant by then!!!!

Hey, we're with you guys on March 27th! We are myself, DH, DD(8) and DD(10). This is our first cruise and we're very excited. Which excursions are you doing? We're booked for Captain Marvins half-day excursion and we're doing the dolphin encounter on Cozumel.

Sherry

Our excursions are already booked.

We are doing the Key West Trolley tour (on our own), Grand Caymen - horseback riding and turtle farm (on our own), Cozumel beach hopping (on our own) and Castaway Cay - pairasailing.

Couldn't talk the family into Captain Marvins, they were "freaked out" by the stingrays.

The Old Town Trolley in Key West looks good. We want to be able to get on and off when we see something interesting. Lots of the excursions in the various ports looked good but we love snorkling and animals so we tried to squeeze in as much of that as possible.

Sherry

We booked our excursions on Tuesday.

We're doing the Old Town Trolley in Key West also. We liked the idea of getting on and off.

In Grand Caymon we are doing the Stingray City Snorkeling & Discover Cayman Tour. The boys are looking forward to the Stingrays. We're going to pretty much go on our own in Cozumel and Castaway Cay.

Sherry-

Our daughters are close in age - mine are 7 and 9 (turning 10 on April 5th). Will yours be going to the clubs? I don't think mine will. Last time they were in the same age group and they still only did a couple of activities. This time they will be in different groups and they're saying that they don't want to go to them at all. We haven't booked any excursions yet, I really need to get going on that.

We'll be there! It's our very first cruise! We are all very excited! DH, myself, DS 4, and DS 2. I'm new to this board also, just registered! Been reading everything on it, practically, just to prepare ourselves! :wave2:

Shari-

Yes, they are going to try the clubs. You know, your girls' experiences in the clubs might vary cruise to cruise. Different kids, different counselors. I don't know if either of my girls will like the clubs but they want to try.

As for myself, I know I want to try the massages and I know I'll like them! I'll be first in line at the spa.

Sherry

Sherry-

I did a pedicure and a facial last time and it was great. I'm not sure what I'll do this time.

My kids don't even want to try the clubs again because they won't know anybody. I'll leave it up to them. Regardless, we'll have a great time.

We're still deciding on excursions. I'd love to try the catamaran races but DH isn't so sure. My goal is to have these decisions made by the end of the week.

We're getting closer, and I'm about BURSTING with excitement. This cruise is a surprise for my children--we were at a Mexican restaurant for dinner tonight and it was all I could do not to talk about our plans for Cozumel!

It will be our second Disney cruise--we were on the Magic in October of 1998--I can't believe it's taken us this long to get back!

It will be me, my DH, my DD12, DS10 (the cruise is his "surprise birthday present"), and DS 4. We were supposed to travel with others, but, sadly, that did not work out. I work quite a few hours, 'though, so look forward to spending time with the family.

rgsmith--Thanks for starting the thread. It doesn't seem that there are too many of us, but when I've checked on the travel agency boards, the cruise seems pretty full...

lampy--You're from fairly close in Michigan--we're in NW Ohio. Had enough of winter yet? We have! The freezing rains are a disaster for driving!

Shari (KAMLEN)--I bet category 3, concierge is LOVELY! My DH and I were just on the Constellation in November in a Royal Suite with a butler. Now, because of part $ and part bad planning, we're in two connecting rooms on deck one--with the two portholes instead of one big one--rooms no self-respecting DISer would ever get after combing these boards for room by room suggestions! ;)

jomik1--Maybe our sons can celebrate their birthdays together! That's a good idea to celebrate on the day after, instead of a port day--I've never seen Mallory Square and our early seating conflicts with sunset...

pooh fan in wv--Congratulations!

Sherry (sstucush)--I don't remeber what time we're going with Captain Marvin. I'll be the one who looks seasick...

rsjj--I'm hoping our four year olds enjoy the kids club--at least a little of the time! I would like to check out the spa...
