Anyone on the February 27th 4 night Wonder?

On the main Forum page they were discussing the best place and time to meet.
They were saying a GREAT place to meet up is at the Promanade Lounge at 3:00pm the first day. That way you can get reservations, eat and get settled and still meet for about 45 minutes before the Emergency Meeting (or whatever it's called) at 4:00.

What do you guys think? Would anyone else be interested in Meeting there?
Or does anyone have any other ideas?

:cool1:

Anyone packing, re-packing, or just staring at the luggage wondering when to start!!!
I can't wait! Wish I booked a seven night!!!

Never been before and know I am just gonna love this!

Sounds like a good plce and time for me. I;ll be there if thats were everyone decides to meet. Will 3:00 give everyone enough time to get on board? I'm flying in the day before, and planning to drive to the port, so we should be all set. I really need to quit looking at all the piles of stuff I'm planning to take and actually start putting it in the suitcases! I need to dig out the shorts and bathing suits-YEAH Can't wait for warmer weather!

My stateroom has been assigned. We are in a Cat 10 on deck 2. Hope the diehards in Rockin D won't keep me awake all night! :jester: :boat:

We are getting about a foot of snow yesterday and today. I cannot WAIT to get away to warmer weather and Sunshine!
I keep packing and planning and making lists. I'm driving myself Nuts!
Only a little over a month to go...............YEAH!!!

Chrisn- we are on deck 2, cat. 10 too! Room 2603. Will we be neighbors? Well you got snow yesterday and we are getting slammed today in Michigan. Hope it gets all snowed out before we leave on our cruise. Snow is the reason we plan to fly in a day before the ship leaves- I don't want to be left behind.

Cool! We're 2035! I hope the location will be ok. Looks like we're just down the hallway from you.

Nice to see a few people who are going!

My husband, 3 daughters (13, 11, 9) and myself are on the trip. I completely agree with getting away from the cold as we are in Ontario and getting hit with the same storm today and we've had -35 c windchills all week. We have found with previous trips that with anywhere over freezing temperatures we have our shorts on as it is warmer than home.

We are staying at the Grand Floridan for the the first part of our land/sea package so we are looking forward to getting a little bit of both.

I have booked the glass bottom boat tour in Nassau but just emailed by agent to ask if I could change it to Discover Atlantis. We are planning on snorkelling the whole time at Castaway and really want to check out Atlantis for a future possible trip. I hope this can still be changed.

As my kids are older we really do not plan on using the kids clubs and never do on trips as we see it as a family vacation (my husband and I take another holiday in the summer ourselves). My 9 year old would still like to see what they have at the club and is really intersted in sketching and art so I may go with her to check it out. Do you know if you still need to register your child if you are going together?

I imagine we will keep in touch -

Okay... it's time for Pixie Dust, or shall I say "Merryweather's Magic" :wizard:

We need some sun and warmth when we cruise, so we can leave this 30+" of Snow behind us! Yes its lovely, oh so pretty, fun for the kids, but -4 wind chill, c'mon already!!! My fingers are cold typing, my hair is flying up with dry static, and I wear feetie pajamas, or sweats with sox to bed. (not too sexy!)

Time to ...
Ditch the snow shovels, put the blowers away, and pack the bikini's (well maybe one piece with a sarong, I dont want to frighten anyone!)

Lets Make some Magick... :cheer2:
Everyone send some BEAUTIFUL WEATHER, 80 degree, HOT, positive thinking, hoping, praying, vizualizing, to our Wonder Cruise 2/27 - 3/3 so we can bake in the sun, get our Vitamin D, and really wear our shorts! Lets enjoy those massages we want, and possibly get a little color in our cheeks without paying for it!!!
We've got a month to go, so magic CAN happen!!!

Our resident cheerleader. Your enthusiasm makes me smile! Maybe we'll get to meet each other at the Radisson before the cruise. We are on the 10:00 am shuttle to the port. I'll be the one with long blonde hair carrying the new purple bags DH got me for X-mas. Look for my Mickey Heads!

I'm with you about the weather. Hope we have "wonderful" warm sunshine and a good day for sailaway so we can party on the deck!

I'll be the one crying with emotion! So duh!
Chrisn maybe you can help me... I tried to reserve my shuttle and Radisson keeps telling me they wont accept a reservation until Feb....? I have read other posts where people have made it no problem, and you have yours too.... any suggestions on how to get this done, so i can put it behind me, and focus on packing and maybe what I should be making for dinner!!! lol

You unfortunately keep getting the wrong person on the line. I called to confirm my ressie yesterday and due to all the concern over pre-reserving, I asked what their policy was on booking the port shuttle. The lady I spok with told me you can pre-book. I asked her to confirm my reservation which she did. We are on the 10:00am then I told her that some of my "DIS" friends were getting the run around and were not able to book. She again stated that the ressies could be pre-booked. It really depends on who you talk to. Try, try again. If I had known the last name your booking is under, I could have just added you to the list right then and there. Don't give up girl, get that ressie otherwise you might end up on that 1:30 shuttle while everyone else is already enjoying all the "wonderful" delights. I'm rooting for you! You can do it! :cheer2:

Hoping for the 10:00 am shuttle or 10:30...

Can anyone tell me what drinks they have available at the beverage station?
Also, I know they have COKE products but what are the different types of soda there?
Fruit punch? Hot Chocolate?
Thanks!

The soda addition is new since we cruised in 2002 but I do remember Milk, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Tea, Lemonade and maybe Fruit Punch at the beverage station. Not sure about the sodas other then they are Coke products. It's actually a nice addition I think. I bought my kids the unlimited soda mugs last time at $35 a piece so this is a nice perk. I've been told the cups are a little smallish so you may want to think about bringing your own mugs if you or your little ones are big pop drinkers. I think you can also still purchase the Disney Wonder mugs that the unlimited package use to come with. They are very cute! :drinking1

Reading thru some posts and I'm noticing lots of February Cruisers are receiving their Documents! Cross your fingers we get our soon too! :goodvibes

Nassau forecast this week: 74-77 degrees!!!
We got cold, grey, and SNOW...... again!!!

We got our costumes yesterday so of course we had to dress up to have a trial run and see how everything turned out. I had a hard time getting DS out of his costume. He wanted to play! Ooooohhh, I can't hardly stand to wait. Is anybody else besides deedz and chrisn gonna go all out playing pirates and are you dressing for dinner too or just the deck party? pirate: Do tell!

You guys, is anyone awake out there besides me? :sunny: I'm excited! Feel like dancing :rockband: :dancer: We should probably be receiving our docs in the next couple weeks. Whomever is lucky enough to get theirs first, please post and let us know!!!

I am seeing posts about a Pirate party - can somebody fill me in? Is there one of the nights where there is a special deck party or is this a theme night? What time is it? So many questions...

Thanks!

Can't wait to go and leave the snow!

The night the ship is docked in Nassau, there will be a pirate themed dinner with waiters dressed as Pirate's, treasure map menus and bandanas for the cruisers. Later out on deck there will be an all out Pirate Party out on deck with dancing, music, fireworks and a special buffet. Captain Hook will come and try to take over the ship with his band of pirates and Captain Mickey will probably save the day! It's very new to the Wonder and so not that many cruisers are aware of it but it will be FUN and some cruisers are bringing pirate costumes and dressing up for the festivities. Sounds very cool! It should be quite a party! pirate:
