We just booked this 4th of July cruise. It will be DH, me, DS (16), DD (12), DS (11), DD (7) and DGM and DGF. This will be our third 4 night Wonder cruise, but grandparents 1st.

Is anyone else joining us????? :boat:

We are looking at doing this cruise too, with DH, my sis, DBIL and their 3 kids (10, 8 & 6). Any divers in your groups?

Noel

Hi! Thanks to 1stNoel for directing me here. I'm so excited for our cruise. We just booked.

We'll be going with me, DH, DD(5) and DS (7 months at sailing).

DH is a diver, but DD wants to do the dolphin encounter, so we're not sure what we're going to do for excursions.

DisneyTeacher - Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

DisneyPoly - Are the grandparents excited? I couldn't get either set of grandparents to join us.

Is this still the official thread for this cruise? Or is there one I'm missing? If it is, is there anyone else out there?

Of course I just posted a new thread because I didn't search for "7" only for "July"....

We will be there too, first Dcruise for all - 10 of us. 2 grandparents, 4 parents, 17M, 13F, 12F, and 8F.

Is anyone else going? We're getting pretty excited over here.

A very quiet thread isn't it. I will be bringing a 4 month old...almost 5 months (DS) and a 5 year old (DD) and DH. This is our 3rd Disney Cruise. We did 1 4 day wonder, 1 7 day Eastern Special Iteniary (sp?) and now this one. We are very much looking forward to our trip. We will be celebrating my birthday and also just a much needed break. Also, we're staying for 3 nights on property for the first time. That should be fun. It is almost here!

TexasGirl - We're doing 5 days at property before and this vacation is celebrating my birthday too. When's yours? We're staying at the Villa at WL before.

DD5 is very excited about going - she loved the Clubs last time and looks forward to spending some time in the pool. I'm a little worried about DS (7 months at sailing). Not sure what I'm doing about formula yet. He's finally off his prescription formula, so I guess I'll bring powdered formula. I've never had much luck with that though.

Does everyone have their Palo and Spa ressie made? It's so nice that we can do that now.

I can't wait to go!

I'm concerned how our baby is going to do as well. He is breast fed and also formula. I plan to bring powder and also some of those premade nursette bottles. He just had his 4 month old check up yesterday and they are changing his formula and also starting him on rice cereal. They are concerned he is not gaining enough weight. He is in the national average of 1 to 100 at only 2%.

I wish we were waiting until he was older until we went. He is awfully small and young... but the week of the fourth of July was the only week I'll have off. My work has a shut down that week. All of my other vacation was consumed by maternity leave.

Maybe we can get our kids together. It is always nice for them to have a friend. We booked one night of Palo. Skipping the spa this year. We're doing Palo the last evening.

Which seating do you have? We are waitlisted for 1st but currently assigned 2nd...which will be way too late in the evening for the children.

We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter for 3 nights and DH and DD will go to the Magical Kingdom. I'm thinking I'll probably just stay at the resort with the baby and hang out there...esp if it is hot July weather. He is just too little for the crowds and heat I think.

Sorry your DS is having problems. DD was like that when she was younger. We switched her from breast milk to soy milk to Allimentum. The Allimentum did the trick. DS had a lot of similar problems, so he went on NeoCate for a few months. He's back "down" to Allimentum and seems to be doing really well. At his 6-month check up, he was in the 40% for weight. So we were happy. My problem with the powdered formula is that I can NEVER get all the clumps out, so they get stuck in the nipple and then he gets frustrated. I can order 8 oz cans from Isomil, but they're expensive.

ANYWAY, we have early seating. Last cruise, we had late seating and loved it. DD had pizza in the room, then we dropped her at the clubs for activities and had lovely dinners ourselves. This time, we'll see if she'll eat at the restaurants. If not, we'll just let her eat chicken fingers or pizza again. We booked Flounders for two hours after dinner every night for the baby, so we can watch the shows.

We're planning ot bring the baby to the parks, but I'll have to play it by ear. If I have to stay at the resort, that'll be okay. Actually, DH will probably stay at the resort - he hates the crowds in the parks.

We're staying in room 7060, if you want to look us up. What room are you in?

Sent you a PM.

Hope taking the baby with you to the parks works out well. If it is cool out we may try it. But right now leaning towards no. I hate that I'll miss out on the Parks. If it is really hot, DH and DD will do MK the first day there and the 2nd day we'll all just play together at the POFQ resort together by the pool and also check out Downtown Disney and also PORS since they have sharing priviliges. Right now we are leaning towards only 1 day at the parks. (the first day there we don't arrive until the evening so we are there 3 nights but only 2 days)

If it is fairly cool, the 2nd day we may ALLventure into a park and do 2 days of parks...maybe Disney Studios the 2nd day. Or maybe return to MK. Don't know. Which would be most baby friendly?

Hey - we're back and getting pretty excited. We're flying in on the 26th to stay at the Grand Floridian until Sunday the 3rd - when we hit the wonder.

Mama - where in the LV are you from. My DW is from Bethlehem, PA.

TexasGirl - Yes, he'll probably be in the water. He loves his baths, so I think he'll love the pools. I got a swim diaper from One Step Ahead for him. Hopefully, that will work. I'm totally unprepared for the cruise/vacation as well. I have DD's b-day party this weekend. After that, I'll be able to concentrate on vacation.

DT71 - Welcome back! I'm living in Forks right now, but grew up in NJ. I work in Whitehouse Station and DH works in Bedminster.
