Oh, I'm sure it would.
People want into MK earlier and earlier, on party nights. And people try to make dining reservations after the start of the party, without tickets.
It is crazy.
Oh, I'm sure it would.
Its up to Disney to decide who is suppose to pay for a ticket. Sounds like the night in question Disney decided to let everybody who wanted to attend to do so. Maybe ticket sales weren't high enough, and they wanted to keep people in the park spending at food and merchandise venues. I don't think there's anything in the terms of a ticket sale that prohibit that.they are in fact suppose to pay for a ticket.
You know, one of the things Disney often offers people who've had a bad experience, for one reason or another, is complimentary tickets. If this bothers you, maybe an alternative vacation destination would better suit you.People are paying about $100 a pop for the hard-ticket events. It IS an injustice if you've paid to get into the party and other people are simply going, getting wristbands and getting in for free.

Would you mind explaining how you *know* this? What happened here was not that. I guarantee you there was not a decision made to let anyone and everyone who wanted to go get a band so that profits would go up.

Odd, we got our wristbands at the Tomorrowland station on October 18 and there were two CMs scanning tickets/Magic Bands . Once you were scanned , you moved along the line to get wristbanded and get a trick-or-treat bag. It seemed like a pretty efficient system .It appeared to us that anyone could receive a wristband at the entrance and Tomorrowland. People just jumped in line and they handed them out, no checking.
Our tickets were not attached to our bands and neither were checked.
It seemed like there was an honor system going on.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that in the past there was indeed a hard shut-down and party goers were either held in a certain land (say between 6:00-7:00) if they were already in the park that day with general admission, or if they only had a party ticket they were not let in until the party started? I know this will never happen now though, as there would be a time where a profit center wouldn't be operating and Disney isn't going to let that happen.

We were there last night and were saying the same thing. The people attaching the bands should have been closer to the tapstiles. Anyone could walk up.
You guys really must have hated the Magical Moments in the Year of a Million Dreams. Imagine Disney giving stuff out for free!!! What an injustice!!!!
OP, Please let us know how it goes tomorrow night!I'm pleased it wasn't just me who noticed this then.
I sent the Disney twitter page a message about it via DM and they said it definately shouldn't be happening.
Like I said, I'm there again tomorrow night, so it'll be interesting to see if it happens again.
I noticed everyone who entered was given a wristband
Where did you get sneaking from? The OP said everyone was getting a wristband.Sneaking into a party
Nice, a personal insult. Classy.which makes me wonder about you.
I certainly willOP, Please let us know how it goes tomorrow night!

One solution would be to not allow party goers in until party time. That way, anyone coming in after 6:30 or so would need a party ticket.
